ESB apprenticeship

Have my application form sent in so was thinking when are the aptitude test and interview held and what are you tested on? any past experiences from the esb welcome!

I think it might be slightly different from when I did it, but for me it happened that after the aptitude test if you're picked you go on for an interview and if you do well in that you go on for a medical and depending on that you might get the job or not.

I sent the application just less then a month ago. Still dident get word back from it yet. So I dont know whats happening. I only recived a instant e-mail when I sent the application. But that said "thank you for your recent application, bla bla bla. you will from us in due time. thats basicly it. Havent heard back anything yet.

Just recieved a letter today from esb and checked my email and have my login details for the apptitude test:)

Also does any one if the intreviews are held in the county you live in or is it in dublin?

Just done the aptitude test..found it hard enough,was useless at the shapes and one other task with shapes and changing positions...Was nervous as f**k doing it:p...ah well i've done it so now gotta wait and see if i did well(even tho i feel i didnt:o)

the aptitude tests not really to see did you do good or bad. Its more to see are you suited to the position. Like how you would act in certain moments.

Yep. You get the numbers 1-9.and the questions like this:
(_x_)-(_x_)=80
You can only use each number once.Not to hard,tho i only got 10 out of 12 finished i think.

Ah you'll be alri with test just give it go..I thought at first that i did s**t but then i realised nothing i can do about it,and i prob did better than i think i did.:p

The ESB, never relised that information. IMHO, its the job/work to be after, with alot of ireland unemployed the world isint your oister.

Anyone know how many people there taking on?

I havent heard anything back but I was at an unrelated ESB Seminar and they said about 150 positions were available.

The seminar was on the lack of electrical engineers available in Ireland and what industry was doing about it. ESB has their apprenticeship

As of today I still have not heard back sice doing the apptitude test :eek:...Hopefully we'll hear back soon
