Here's a very informative video on the treaty.
That wasn't about the treaty (or informative).

This one is a bit more informative... but it's about the ESM - the reason we passed the Fiscal Compact

You think that was an informative video?

I got as far as the part where they said that 'if the EU needs money, we have 7 days to pay' and showed an illustration of a member state writing a cheque to the ESM for one hundred thousand trillion euros.

    Get out.

Sure it's a bit like here, nobody can be held to account for their actions and the general public will pay for their mistakes.
    Well done the 60%.....

    I didn't say I found it informative.

is the artistic licence the only thing you can find to disparage it?

In fairness its portraying the ESM as some independent above the law organisation that can demand whatever they want, whenever they want for whatever reason they want and suck every last cent out of our pockets.

Its an emergency fund ffs, its funding needs will be proportional to the needs of the countries applying for emergency funding. Its not something that now has us in their pockets, its us and others throwing into the kitty to prop one another up. It cannot take any more than necessary from any member state or it will be doing the exact opposite of what its set up to do.

    ;)

Maybe. But you failed on your first attempt, so I might give it a miss. Maybe you could give us a precis of what you think that one is about?

Seeing as the vote is over and we seem to be just posting youtube videos on stuff that has already been debated on, this thread is of no real value to keep open at this stage.
