Fitness/fatness Problem

Right so here's the deal. I'm pretty fit..Have been playing soccer non-stop since i was 8 I take it serious(stay in on saturday nights and all that) but I'm a goalkeeper so i don't get the cardio workout during a match that an outfield player would

I do a lot of jogging. I work two cycle shift so i can only soccer train every second week and in the other week i jog 4-5 times a week about 10 K each time.
The problem i have is that while im fit i am carrying excess weight mainly on my chest and stomach...I have been told that due to my fitness my heart rate doesn't get into the zone to lose weight while im jogging...

I do some free weights aswell to tone my arms and im trying to tone my chest but its not really working...

Anyway basically looking for any ideas on how to shift the weight or tone up which doesnt involve starving myself...(i don't eat or drink a massive amount)

    Cheers

Losing weight is all about diet. If you're not losing weight, it's because your diet matches your required intake.

At the most basic level - reduce your calorie intake by 10%, and maintain that level for a few months. The weight will come off.

If you post up a typical day's eating (including snacks, tea, coffee, etc) as well as your current stats - height/weight - it may be possible to give more specific advice.

I would also suggest that if your HR isn't getting into the right zone while exercising, then you're not exercising hard enough ;)

I second what Seamus says, it's all about diet if you want to get toned by which I presume you mean lean. A 500 cal deficit from what you have now would see a pound a week of fat loss, you probably haven't all that much to lose.
