There's too much anger round AH at the moment, so let's take a moment to share some positive thoughts, and maybe some stories of actual good news.

    I'll start.

It's a beautiful, sunny day, and there are some absolutely gorgeous parts of this country, with most people not too far from some fabulous beauty spots.

Simply being alive and outside in such places is a joyous experience.

Today is exactly the start of every single essay I ever wrote for Irish when I was in School!

Lá brea brothalach a bhí ann. Ní raibh scammall sa speair. Bhí na ghrian ag scoilteadh na gcloch. D'eirigh mé are a hocht a clog agus feich me amach an fhuinnog.

There are girls dressed in very little clothing and looking mighty fine.

It's a pity most ordinary people can't afford the petrol to travel to these places. The bankers and corrupt politicians ruined us :mad::mad:

Lost my phone at the weekend and got it back thanks to two people.

"Tá an grian ag taitneamh go hárd sa spéir" was always my stock phrase :).

I'll also add short shorts (Who likes short shorts? I like short shorts.) to the list of reasons to be cheerful.

    Ain't that the truth.

I was thinking what a great day I was having earlier, work-wise it's less than great (on the phones, hence on AH) but the sun is certainly perking my day up.

    Hurah!

I will soon, but only to go do some more study by the river, then go for a lovely long cycle in the sun and get myself an ice cream :).

Cant wait to get home, cut my lawn, then sit on my deck chair drinking a cool beer.

Add a cigarette/spliff to that and it's the perfect ending to the day!

I am filling in a tax return, and realised that I can put my girlfriend as my dependent and claim on her college tuition fees.
Which basically means I am getting over 3 grand in a rebate rather than about 900.

    Great success!

The sun's shining and we're in an opticians. Doesn't get much better than this.

Gonna put a shrimp on the Barby and unwind in the garden for the evening.

I'm getting paid on Friday and will be able to pay all my bills and still have enough left over for a night on the town.
And while I wait I have a giant beanbag in the garden, cold pizza in the fridge and a few bottles of beer to tide me over.
    'aint life grand :)

Two positively charged substances, or objects, experience a mutual repulsive force. So keep the positivity to yourself Moo.

I think that's enough negativity to counteract my positivity, so I'm grand :).

Today has been a very negative day for me. But the sun makes me feel great over all so its good sitting here with my windows wide open

Also, rescue 117 just flew past my window. That was cool I guess

    I've got aids...

... most notably a new intern at work who I can flog off loads of crappy work to so that I can get out on time for once and enjoy the sun.

Just back from a nice jog in the sunshine OP. Have some cans of coke and beer in the fridge for later. Going to have them outside this evening and then watch the Barcelona/AC Milan game. Oh and yesterday I got the grass cut in the sunshine listening to the radio on my mp3 player. Was great! :)

I hope you break your leg on the way out.

But I hope it's a clean break, and there's no complications during your recovery period.

This weather puts everyone in good mood :) that's positive..
if we had weather like this all the time Ireland would be a better place.

All we seem to do is moan about how bad the weather is and how f**ked the country is financially... Pisses me off

When the sun shines everyone just seems chilled and less moany :) POSITIVE !

    ah Clonmel deserves him tbf.

i'm not a fan of the heat, but once I don't go out until after 3 it's grand. this weather just makes me want ice cream all the time.

it's nice cause it seems to put lots of people in a good mood. I really like that the evenings are bright for longer now :D

    Oh dear :pac:

I think I only betted one of the days, two races. You think your luck is bad - both of the horses I picked won, but I had thrown the dockets into a bin in a shopping centre I was in. I'd a heap of receipts in my purse I wanted rid of, but I didn't cop it till I was home and checked the results

    Now thats fcukin' special :D
