So the list just went up with the retailers for Guild Wars 2 Collectors editions and look ireland isnt there... Typical.

Everyone who is interested in Collectors edition please email Gamestop and ask about the collectors edition. Maybe if enough ask they will look into it.

By the looks of things we can order from Zavvi in england, Would have loved if gamestop got their act together though.

They do not have the collectors edition on their site yet but im expecting it to go up any day. I wonder how much they will charge?

Thanks for posting these MikeyJoyce, it's a massive pity nowhere in Ireland seems to be stocking the CE, especially with the closing of GAME. Looks like Zavvi is the way to go, despite the CE being listed as sold out already, even though it's not available for purchase yet.
Honestly I'd prefer not to buy online because of the hassle of waiting for another delivery of the actual content once the game is launched. Also this:

This Collector’s Edition is Extremely Limited, with Limited Quantity

is not promising. I know that millions of the things are not going to be churned out, but come on Anet, you've already created enough artificial demand for the game, why add more to it?

Edit: Also, this is really annoying and I was afraid it would happen, it's £130, which is €156. Considering on the buy page on the GW2 site the price is listed as $150, we're getting shafted.

I heard something about Gamestop now having CE on guildwars2guru.com so i sent an email to my local gamestop manager and gamestop dublin and am expecting a reply sometime today.

If they don't reply i will drop in after work and have a chat with them.

Ill update on here with any info i find.

Just spotted this post now. I preordered the GW2 Collectors Edition prepurchase in gamestop about 5 days ago. 5 euro to reserve and pay the balance of 125euro on the 10th.

My advice is to reserve on fast as the GS employee didnt seem to know how many would be available so they seem to be taking reservations regardless of how much stock their getting.

Cant wait for this game to come out!

I've been to GS Henry Street (Dublin City Centre) today. I asked them if they're stocking and if I can pre-order/purchase a copy, but the clerk said. it hasn't been confirmed yet. I'm not sure if it's for all GS Nationwide or just in Henry St. I'll be back on the 10th (Tuesday) to check again. I hope they'll stock

Really? I'm sorry you couldn't get it there but I had been planning on going into town today to order it from there, and was cursing myself that I couldn't, at least I didn't waste a trip. Maybe donan can post which Gamestop he preordered his from?

Have purchased it from the amazon.fr website today. I don't know any french but got a chap in the lotro kin I am in to check the confirmation email and all is in order.

A bit of trial and error with filling in the details on the site but the layout is the same as all amazon sites so it was straight forward enough considering I dont know any French!

Well Gamestop Ireland was only confirmed as a prepurchase retailer a few days ago so maybe it'll be up on their site tomorrow when its officially available. Although they've been accepting reservations for at least 2 weeks so maybe they just have really lazy IT staff :P

That, unfortunately, has been going on for years, with some retailers just putting out a date.

Gamestop told me last week that release date is 4th of may. Gamestop america had a different date. They dont have a clue of the release date really, they just give a date to make people buy the game.

This isn't looking good for getting the CE for me so, going to try Gamestop in Dublin, then in Newbridge, see if I have any luck. It seems a bit odd that a Gamestop in the capital wouldn't stock it, but the Gamestop in Naas is.

Well I just got back from Gamestop Naas. I have 2 CE's reserved and was supposed to pick them up today but apparently there's been some confusion or a late delivery and it hasn't arrived in stores yet. Its expected to arrive later and I'll get a call when it does but if visiting gamestops then call ahead.
On the bright side they seem to be aware of the system for giving out beta keys followed by the full CE on release date so once their finished screwing up there should be Collectors Editions available.

Hm, it seems I have more chance of winning a dance off against Abaddon than of getting a CE beta box today. Nevertheless, off to Dublin I go.

Edit: Henry St. Gamestop do not have anything in yet, though the guy acknowledged that they should have, but at least I got to put down my deposit, so when they do get them in, one will be sitting there with my name on it. Anyone else have any luck getting the beta box?

Looking at Guild Wars 2 FB page, a good few people seem to having problems with Gamestop. But from what someone posted here earlier, Tallaght and Carlow did get them.. this is a little annoying, admittedly, we can't do much with the beta codes till the end of the month, but still.

Kinda curious, what's in the CE Pre-purchase box? Any documentation at all or just a key? Is it a key on a cool looking card like the original GW? Also, is yours in French?

Basically just a DVD type box with a sheet of card in it that contains your key. It was indeed in French but easy enough to spot the link to register.

@Lister: Thanks for letting me know.

Just called Henry St. Gamestop there, he said they do have them in, but asked me if I had pre-ordered one, which I take to mean that they are practically sold out (the CE on their website is also sold out). So anyone who put down a deposit for Henry St, the box is there waiting for you.

Actually, scratch what I posted. Went in to the store, gave the guy my name and said I had reserved the CE of the game, he pulled out a box with my name on it, it was the Standard Edition Pre-Purchase. I tried to explain to him that this was the wrong box and he said "Well, these were the only boxes we got in". A little *expletive*-ing pissed off with Gamestop now, gonna call head office tomorrow see if I can get this sorted, it really shouldn't be this hard.

Same, it's it not like the guy just misheard me when I put my deposit down on Tuesday, I explicitly stated Collector's Edition Pre Purchase, checked the price with him, and it also says CE on my receipt. My worry now is that they've all been sold online and there won't be any left for the shops.

Went yesterday and got mine in Dundalk no problems there. I had preordered the pre-purchase box weeks ago and apparently mine was the only one in the store but i dunno lol 129.99 in store and the manager said come back in on release and collect the final product so im happy he knows whats up

Just picked up my reserved copy from Gamestop. I was a bit worried when I saw the website was sold out but they did hold onto a copy for me in store. So alls good even it it did take them 3 days longer than the rest of the world.
They seemed to have more copies there so if anyone is still looking for a CE check out gamestop Naas. They should have at least 1 spare since I reserved 2 but only bought one in the end

Well, unfortunately me choosing the Henry St store for the CE pre purchase hasn't gone as well. Called them again today, asked what the story was and was there any chance of me getting the CE pre purchase, I was told no, sorry, the Standard Edition was the only box they were given by their suppliers to that store, apparently a lot of other stores had the same problem. I was told that my options were to either move the deposit to a SE pre purchase, or come in and get a refund on my deposit. So I'm choosing to get a refund. Have placed an order for the CE pre purchase on Zavvi, (Thank you MikeyJoyce), as it was still listed as in stock, and just waiting for it to ship now, which I expect won't be till Monday or Tuesday, but hopefully I'll get it in time for the next BWE.
Overall, quite disappointed with Gamestop, figured once you go in and ask to put a deposit on something, and they say you can, they'll actually get it in for you. Lesson learned, I will never bother pre-ordering from them again. Next time I'll just shop online, despite being more expensive in this case, it's easier and faster.

It's €157.66 including delivery which is €1.21. Impressed by the delivery cost, wonder if I'll get charged delivery again when the actual CE is shipped.

Edit: Looking at the site now, I've noticed the price has actually been slowly increasing since I ordered it. It's now listed as €162.95. Bit unusual for them to do that isn't it?
