Sample Meal Plan advice

    Hi all,

Looking for some feedback (constructive if possible). I have been training for a while (cycling) and would consider myself quite fit, an average cycle would be around 100km through the wicklow mountains. I am now looking to shed the excess pounds which will require more than exercise in time for the summer cycling events.

I am currently around 90kg and 6ft2". I have an office job so would be quite inactive for the majority of the day. My plan is to do cardio 3 days per week with running pre breakfast early morning before work. I cycle to and from work, about 20km round trip and will cycle 100km through Wicklow on a Sunday.

My planned diet going forward will center around cutting carbs Monday to Friday, then increasing them on a Saturday and Sunday to fuel the long cycle on Sunday and the subsequent recovery.

A sample day would be this (Mon to Fri)

    Meal 1
    Breakfast Shake
Mixed berries (handful), Milk (250ml), Whey 1 scoop, half a Bannana

    Meal 2
    1 can of Tuna

    Meal 3
Mixed chicken salad with green leafs and mozzarella

    Meal 4
    Whey Shake, with water

    Meal 5 (Home)
Fresh Salsa and Guacamole (Home made) and chicken (1 filet).

    Cheers

I would look at tracking on myfitnesspal. To lose weight you need to reduce your calories. I find it magic!

Also is there any particular reason that you don't eat any veg?
