ISP name? Is it a mobile broadband thing? They usually install the drivers automatically once plugged in. Look in Computer for the icon to open the installer. You shouldn't need to re-configure a fixed line broadband modem for a new computer

It's a fixed line alright. I updated the motherboard drivers for the ethernet and went about setting up a new connection and it asked for the ISP name and password. i have the password key but cant find the ISP Name.

Do you connect to a DSL modem/router with a network cable?

Then you won't have to set up a "New Connection".

If it's fixed line then all that stuff is already setup inside the router / wireless access point.

You only need such settings on a PC if using 3G or Dial up modem etc.

Is should be just plug & play connecting via ethernet. Just plug in the cable/make sure ethernet drivers are installed. If you have a Wireless adaptor make sure its installed properly and the drivers are also installed. Then just connect to the network
