250 points for 2 packs of 6. Got myself 28 packs, probably not a wise thing to do but sure:p

Anyone else get any? They won't be available in stores but you do get a pack free with every copy of Kid Icarus: Uprising and apparently you can watch them fight on your 3DS. Reminds me of the old days with Pokemon cards:D

They could go for a fortune on ebay in 6 months too....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 334 ✭✭jaydoxx

Do you think so? I figured people would just print them off the internet:p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,564 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I was wondering about that myself. Would they work if you just printed them out like the ones that came with the 3DS? Don't see how these cards could be different.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,123 ✭✭✭✭Star Lord

Yeah, the camera on the 3DS won't be able to tell the difference!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,564 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

Cool! Though I doubt Nintendo will officially post them if they can make money from them.

Nintendo certainly won't. But fans on the other hand?

If you're considering getting a sizeable number of packs, you should consider this to save your points. It will take a little longer, but it's useful if you're short on stars

Make a new account, and register one code, which is mandatory to open an account. When you open a new account, you'll be given 250 points bonus, so that way you'll get 500 points for registering one game. i.e. Buy one get one free!

If you're registering a game with only 200 points value, put your birthday as sometime in the near future. I know next day won't work, try a date later than that as I'm not exactly sure what gap there must be between registration and the 50 star birthday bonus.

    Repeat as you please.

Ordered them. I'll keep them sealed and sell them on Ebay in fifty years or so.

    A sound investment.

I know one person who ordered two and they got the same 6 cards twice.

I ordered my first packet yesterday, interested to see what arrives, although I also spent 2,500 points on those proper Nintendo cards....

Someone bought them on adverts for €15. I must say they looked pretty class.

How are people finding the actual game (cant find a thread on it..)?

I'm thinking of pulling the trigger and ordering it from Amazon today. Whats the multiplayer like, seems like a lot of fun?

Games threads are moved to Games > Games so it was moved there.
I've been hearing it's great, but that's from Nintendo fans.

Anyone have any spare/duplicate codes they want to trade? :pac:
Got duplicate codes for Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii, Professor Layton + the Curious Village, Big Brain Academy Wii + Wii Fit.

Such a pity you can't register more than one :(

Hope this isn't too off topic...:P

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,228 ✭✭✭robman60

^I can give you a DS console code (500 stars) and a Mystery Case Files Millionheir code (250 stars) in exchange for Wii Sports, Big Brain Academy Wii, and Wii Fit.

You can register two DS consoles per account so even if you've already registered one you still can again.

Also, before we exchange codes make sure yours are in date.

No, it doesn't. The last couple of things I've ordered with the BT1 1AA trick have taken a little under three weeks. I suspect there'll be a slight delay now because there's been high demand for the Kid Icarus AR cards.

There's a Nintendo magazine doing AR cards for Kid Icarus this week/month/insert release period here. Didn't see which one it was as I was shepherding an unruly 3 year old but it looked like the official Ninty magazine, and it mentioned the word "exclusive" beside the phrase AR Card, though that may just mean you can't buy 'em in the shops.

yeah, must be cos you can't buy them. i think 2 of the cards are the same for everyone and the other 4 are random...possibly.
might actually pick the mag up for them :pac: might help suck me into buying the game already...(my backlog really does hate me at this stage :O)

just realised my wii was linked to my old club nintendo account (from back in the days of the gamecube  ) so my downloads on that showed up there....unlinked and relinked with my new account i actually use, they didn't transfer :( i wouldn't mind so much if there wasn't 700 stars worth of surveys to do (50 for each game) on it :( i didn't even know i got stars for my wii downloads! :o
anyone got any experience with club nintendo customer service and how nice they might be? wondering my chances of getting them transferred over.

nintendo and it's backwards online strikes again...

I think you're best to try to contact them by phone at +44 (0)845 60 50 247 than by email. I've probably emailed them five times (mainly about one thing) and I've never received a reply, not to mention any assistance.

Also, has anyone who ordered these cards received them yet?

I ordered mine two weeks ago no and still not a word, they are also still up on the stars page to order so hopefully Nintendo have not run out.

I ordered mine 4 weeks ago and haven't got them. Read somewhere that nintendo usually take 3 - 6 months to get things sent out. Dunno if there's any truth in that though.

    http://n-europe.com/news.php?nid=16918
Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that it has entered a distribution partnership with Panini that will see the AR Idol cards for Kid Icarus Uprising being released across stores. Previously, the AR cards were only really available via Club Nintendo and special promotions. Now collecting them all will get a whole lot easier (and more expensive).

I don't even have the game yet but my wallet doesn't like the sound of that :P

Currently got spare codes for New Super Mario Bros Wii, Mario kart 7, Pokemon White, Zelda OOT (may or may not be a system code..) and 3 codes for Professor Layton + the Curious Village.
    Someone must be interested.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,228 ✭✭✭robman60

I have codes for all the games listed below for trade. I've registered a lot of games, but if you've got any spares PM me and we'll arrange a trade if I haven't already registered a particular game.

    100 Classic Book Collection
Professor Layton and the Curious Village
    Wii Sports Resort
    NSMB Wii

I didn't get the cards, but I have received two items that I ordered after the cards. Perhaps there was higher demand than expected and they had to go to print again?

I'm thinking that they had none to start with and now that they struck a publishing deal with that company that sells over priced stickers they start manufacturing soon and start to fill orders in a few weeks.

I will be pissed if the ones I get say panini on them.

Agreed. Even selling the cards in shops kind of goes against the exclusivity factor you can normally expect from Club Nintendo.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭nitromaster

Got Mario Kart Wii, Wii Sports Resort + Wii Fit (350 stars) codes currently spare if anyone's up for a trade.

exactly! might wait it out and see before ordering any...
edit: anyone else have problems registering codes at the moment? just brings me back to the "enter code" screen with no error message :S

Seems it was some sort of security thing when you enter in codes wrong 10 times :P All better a day or so later.

Anyone receive their cards yet, no? Wanting to know whether they're Panini before ordering any...

Also to continue my offtopicness, spare 3DS system code (you can register two) worth 500 stars if anyone please has two spares codes they want to swap :pac:
    edit: gone..for now :pac:

I didn't think the game would do so well to warrant them being sold in stores, its not blown up in any way as far as I know. I havn't even seen it advertised:\

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,485 ✭✭✭✭Banjo

There are ads alright, I see them a lot on kids TV - Nickelodeon I think.
In my defense my daughter is 3 and watches a lot of cartoons with me at the weekend. The fact that she's into Regular Show and Adventure Time is just a happy coincidence :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 334 ✭✭jaydoxx

Yeah i accidentally watched Adventure Time once, it was pretty funny but I tend to avoid the kids section like the plague it is :P

Got spare codes for Wii Sports Resort + Wii Fit which i'd like to trade if anyone has any spares or anything.
    must be someone! :P

Hey :) I've tried ordering packs on club nintendo. I have like 3000 stars but never used them lol. I'm having trouble ordering them though because of the confusing address thing. I didn't even know we had postcodes in Ireland :/

Just put your postcode as BT1 1AA and the rest of your address as normal. When your address doesn't appear on the system, turn off address check and you'll be able to order.

Anyone?!? Wii Fit's worth an extra 100 as well. :pac: Even if you have spares + don't necessary need the ones i have but will do it for the craic..only 500 away from my target :(
edit: just spare codes for Brain Training + Professor Layton and Pandora's Box left.

And just so this isn't that spammy, there's an archive of scans of cards here:

    :)

    still no cards
at this rate it seems pretty much a given it will be ones with panini on them if they ever get around to posting then.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,228 ✭✭✭robman60

It's still only about six weeks since they appeared on the website, so I'll hold out on contacting them until the eight week delivery time has been passed.

I'll be raging if mine have a Panini logo instead of a Club Nintendo one...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,285 ✭✭✭✭RobbingBandit

Beyond a joke now, the Gamemaster magazine on sale next Wednesday 22nd will have a free pack of Kid Icarus AR Cards.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,228 ✭✭✭robman60

I'm pretty sure it's just under eight weeks since my order, really disappointed it's taking so long.

Also, for anyone concerned about not getting a nice Club Nintendo logo on the packet; don't worry! Instead it appears they have NO logo and come in clear plastic!

    http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-mTtH52mvEmY/T3oHBVXgLKI/AAAAAAAABNA/-ktBz8mGRAE/s1600/Kid_Icarus_AR_cards01.jpg

It's unfortunate if this is the case. :(

looks like there are some very rare cards out there, some are even already out of print before they go on sale to the public.

I got mine this morning! I'm really impressed, full colour packaging and a nice Club Nintendo logo in the corner!

Now, to leave them sealed for the next fifty years...
