    Hi guys,
Just looking for suggestions on what to do/what you guys do in terms of active recovery when your body hates you & decides you're not training!!

Haven't trained since Paddy's day due to lack of motivation(the hangover wasnt that bad :)) & few little niggles that are justifying (in my head)not training.

I'm foam rolling & stretching everyday, going to get an NMT treatment in college this weekend(I'll probably come out more broken but feck it, it's free :() Might hit the pool tomorrow for an easy swim & eating everything in sight (mostly clean, the girlfriend bought muffins, I couldn't resist mhmmmm). I've also used my training times for naps! Anything else I could be doing that would be benificial??

Also when I start back next week should I pick up where I left off or dial the weights down 10-20% (this was what I was planning) & ease back into it? Opinions please!!!

Sounds decent enough. I've been doing plenty of joint mobility stuff, having been to a Steve Maxwell seminar, each day started with 45mins of it, and really felt great. I'd def recommend that dvd if you can get your hands on it, if not I think scott sonnen has some similar stuff on youtube, in fact I think Steve may have learned a lot from him originally.

That would depend on a few factors, what your programme was like before the break, volume/intensity, training age, goal, etc.

Interesting, I don't have time to look up his stuff at the moment, will do when I get home later :) Is that the standard time it takes for his stuff? I foam roll & stretch nearly an hour every night & try to do a mobility WOD most days, how does it compare to Kelly Starretts stuff in your opinion?

That old chestnut! I mainly follow the Crossfit Football site when it's doable/not crazy!!! (depends where I am during the week). I haven't come across the topic on the site, will have to do some more reading on it! :)
