Same experience as myself, thinking of selling on the evic and getting a new vamo. The evic was a little of an impulse buy on my part.

I've got a pristine black chrome Vamo that I don't use. Swap? :D

You can disable sleep mode completely on eVic firmware 1.2. I prefer the lightness of the eVic.

It's good, hooked it upto the computer and updated firmware, set it to VW mode and bumped it upto 7.5W on the dripper, vapes fine.

It's a lot lighter than the Vamo, and both devices show a different Ohm reading for a coil, so one of them isn't right, will break out the mutimeter and check at some stage.

I prefer the Vamo still, when on stacked batteries, can't tell the difference vape-wise when on a single 18650. Vamo as well for ease of use/simplicity, it's much more straight forward as eVic tends to 'go to sleep' automatically and you have to 5 press to get it back on and fire it, the vamo is always ready. I'm sure I could set the eVic to not sleep/standby, just need some time with it and go through the menus/software in more detail.

That sleep thing sounds annoying alright. It'd be interesting to find out how the Vamo compares to a multimeter.

I tend to stick around 7.5 or 8W as well. My RDA with the looped wick is now vaping great btw, thanks for the tip. Turns out I had the centre ring upside down so the airhole was too low:o Turned it around last night and it was a huge improvement (thanks also to Green hornet for pointing this out to me).

Just enough for one wick! I'm not into my rebuildable ADA-s and would like to give it a lash on mesh before I sell it on. I'll pay ya postage and that.

I'll send you some of my mesh. You want me to oxidise it for you?

Good man, please oxidise it! I haven't looked into anything about using mesh yet, so I don't even know what oxidising mesh is!

I ordered the Kanger Value Kit today. Been off the smokes (since Thursday last) using the Innokin PCC Starter Kit which is great but I like the idea of seeing how much liquid is left. Also it can't hurt to have few around the place, just in case I break or lose one.

I'm actually getting one for spares. The values too good to pass up.

    500ml of Glycerine
    500ml of PG
100ml Concentrate sweet menthol (little less harsh than crystal menthol)
    100ml/100mg nicotine

Interesting note: I've been using Regular Pharmacy USP grade Glycerine instead of "E-cig Supply" VG recently and Customers of mine have said its a much smoother flavor than other DIY juices they've tried - I think probably down to that.

Slightly thicker consistency and wee bit sweeter and certainly produces more vapor. I'm thinking that some of the "DIY" VG out there is a lil watered down probably so it can be syringed easier and used with less water/vodka.

Yeah I got some "VG" from Inawera a little while ago and I wasn't happy with it, it was clearly much thinner than the USP I had been using, gave much less vapour and lacked the sweetness. I only noticed after that the site does mention that it's 10% distilled water. I've gone back to USP VG and I'm much happier with it.

Interesting and Explains what I found 10% is a HELL of alot of watering down :)

I mix with around 30% PG and few drops of Cheap Vodka.

Will see how i get on, really don't wanna end up with a draw full of juices again. Need to just control how much I vape per day first.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 23,555 ✭✭✭✭Sir Digby Chicken Caesar

hehe, yeah I have about 40 bottles in my juice drawer atm.

the 10 i received in the last 2 days didn't help matters. but all I need is another 30ml of highbrow vapour cappucino diablo and i'm set for a couple of months

No, usually I mix about 5ml of PG nic base with 25ml USP VG. It's good and thick, but easily manageable if that's what you expect, and gives tons of vapour.
