Would that need to be steeped?

Nah its probably steeped enough on the shelf for the last 7 years or so just add a bit of vegetable glycerine for extra vapour :D

Collected the Gripper VV this morning. An Post had tried to deliver it Friday morning but the package was a little big for the letterbox. Considering it was on pre-order when I ordered it on Thursday, that was a pretty impressive effort by BargainVapour and An Post to have it at my door Friday morning.

Seems like a very nice device so far too, it's a good size and fits my hands well, and the button placement works well for me. It vapes pretty well too. I won't pretend to understand PWM, but the effect doesn't seem as pronounced as on the Lavatube Vx, which will fire a 3.0ohm carto pretty well at only 3.0v. The Gripper barely works at 3.0v on a 3.0ohm coil which is more what I'd expect, and there's a more noticeable difference as you up the voltage.

Sounds good, I was put off getting one when I read somewhere that they were similar to the first version of the Vmax as the power in that thing was like vaping 5 volts even when it was at 3volts and didn't suit me as there is times when I like just a nice easy vape. I might consider one now at somestage as they do look fairly cool and I like the way the LCD screen looks on them as well.

The VV Gripper has been getting some good press and I've just seen that BV has the price down again to €44.99

The V1 Vmax was bloody stupid, a lot of "fanboy's" liked it because during the highest pulse modulated peaks, even at the 3 volts it would be outputting 9 volts for a third of the time. It just burnt cartos and your lungs too.

Smok have another mod called the "Zmax" on the way - it's like a ProVari/Darwin hybrid that you can adjust watts as well as volts - looks just like a ProVari - don't they all these days?

Yeah it's a pretty nice device, nothing amazing or revolutionary, but it's a pretty good contender in the lavatube type niche with a different form factor.

Just something I noticed with the Vivi Nova it might be the same with the GS-V-Core, I'm not sure though, need to experiment more.

When you screw on the wick head part don't have it too tight leave it just barely tightened. Im going to go messing with it later if I get some time and try the Vivi Nova top section and rubber bit on top of the GS-V-Core and see how it works out.
I did a little experimenting over the weekend.

With one of them I removed the top wick that sits on top of the coil. At first the flavour seemed to suffer a bit but it came back after a few minutes. I was able to push the voltage up higher and vape harder on it without getting a burnt hit too. I did eventually get a burnt hit, but it seems to be much better in general with just the single wick through the coil.

With the other I took out both wicks and used Green Hornets trick of sliding in some cotton. This wicked unbelievably well, in fact a little too well, it gurgles a hell of a lot, but vapes really well with no chance of a burnt hit.

Phoenix rebuildable atomiser v2 "apparently" €13.
El Toro Cigarillos Naturales 10ml €6
    .15 nichcrome 5m and 5m wick.€9
Didnt see much point buying lots of wire and wick for now seeing as i wont be changing it for a bit.

That amount of wick and wire, unless you're pulling it apart every 5mins in the search for vaping nirvana (hiya Digby!), should last you about a year.

You'd be surprised though. When I started with the RDA I flew though stuff. Not so much now though. Tend to get about a week from one now rather than 3 a day at the start!

Actually, is there any benefit to the Phoenix over Clockworks? Looks small enough in the pics so it would hardly hold as much? Cheap though and looks good but just wondering.

Anybody ever get any joy from rebuilding that eGo rebuildable tank I wonder? I never got any good of it at all. Could never get it to wick at all.

On yet another note, I put a tie wrap pretty tight aroundy RDA and move it up over the hole when not using it and down when vaping. Works fantastic - not a leak in a week. Sometimes a bit of juice needs a wipe after sliding it up or down but that's okay.

i think it does actually hold quite a bit of juice, similar enough to the rda

there's a deep enough well at the bottom the wick sits into and yoiu know yourself how absorbent xandreys stuff is

im gona pick one up next week I think.. have to decide between 100ml of el toro juices or 20ml + a phoenix. i can probably wait another week or two to get all dat el toro

Feck ye anyway! I looked up some reviews of the Phoenix and they seem pretty positive. Sounds like the flavour comes out pretty good and strong cos of the smaller chamber and a warm vape too. Tempted to buy one now even though I don't need one!

Thanks must have missed that yesterday.

I think it's a steller price you could even use it for dripping at vapefest if you dont fill the drip well too much

Cheap alright - wont make vapefest as I'm out of the country then but I'll be reading the forum with all the updates!

ERM....Just realised I've ordered loads of juice and my e-cab hasn't even arrived yet.

I have found aniseed flavour, and root beer! from Alba Vapours, don't know if anyone has ordered from them at all? I hope they are not disgusting;)
All in all I have ordered 10 different flavours, that should get me started for a bit, yes:D

i've tried a few alba vapours juices. they were all nice, loved some of them and even the ones I didnt really like I wouldnt call bad.. I just didn't really like them.
you'll be safe enough with them i'd say

I find the Phoenix great - haven't re-wicked/coiled yet but great flavour
