    Hi.

    I just got a call from an Indian gentleman from "Techbuddah.com" regarding my "windows XP or Mac registration" directed me to a very official looking website. I presume this is one of the scam unsolicited calls re PC problems, googling brings up http://whocallsme.com/Phone-Number.aspx/9056675558 which suggests they're dodgy so beware.

    We have too many EU data protection rules to allow someone get such details.

    it's very common so I'm guessing it's being done on an industrial scale.

    I hope for the sake of genuine Indian call centre workers this is being done by random dialing. If it turns out that it's from leaked customer details then it could affect EU rules on data.

    It's probably just random dialling. I've had calls before but nothing as persistent as this with the "official" website etc. I actually hung up on him twice but he called back to dispute me saying it was a scam.
