What is your least unprofitable market?:D

Best: Golf, good value to be had there and rugby. A fiver in Scotland v Italy makes even a dull game interesting.

Worst: Horses. Any market any method!

Doesn't fit into your criteria, but I play roulette alot and never leave the table without a profit.

My only tip is to have a system and stick to it.

For me it's got to be an Accumulator on football, picking obvious wins on really bad odds can add up quite nicely:) ( I call it my beer money bet )

A system to guarantee winning in roulette? Seriously?

Guarantee? Well no that's impossible, but the system I have has the odds stacked incredibly high in my favour.

the house has a 2.7% edge with 1 zero, 5.26% with 2 zeros
unless you're cheating in some way, the odds are always stacked against you.

It's ok, I'm sure he does the smart thing and doubles his bet everytime he loses

Martingale system is the quick way to the poor house

btw, my favorite type of bet (although not sure if it is "profitable" or gives me an "upper hand") is e/w lucky 15's using what the bookies call "bad e/w races".
eg. 1/4 fav, 5/1 2f, 14/1 bar. with the 2nd favorite you're getting evens on the place part of an e/w bet, when bookies/betfair will only be offering 4/7 or 4/6 on a place only bet.

Well if you never leave the table without a profit surely that is tantamount to a guaranteed win? I'm extremely curious as to your system, not because I think it works, but because I want to know why you think it works.

Definitely uses martingale and just hasn't gotten unlucky yet.

How did the thread turn into a roulette discussion?

There is no system that turns the odds in roulette in your favour and each spin is independant. He will lose sooner or later.

    move on now?

I had a great run on Betfair backing tennis in running with live streams.

But I had a nightmare about a month ago..when 3 women players who were coasting to victory after 1st set wins all picked up an "injury"..one retired and the other limped on to a slow painful defeat with the trainer on every 5 minutes.

Unfortunately the delay on the stream meant the price got hammered before I could green up.

To happen 3 times in such a short period left me sickened and a little paranoid about women tennis matches. Haven't done any tennis since.

Yeah Tennis for me in the in-play markets.

If 3 losing bets causes that much trouble you are betting far too much of your bankroll. 1 bet should never affect your roll up or down by more than 5%. Everyone has a run of consecutive losers.

very true. i got greedy and went too big on ridiculously long odds on shots for a very small potential return.

Last time I check I had a pretty decent ROI on MMA markets. Mostly winner and rarely method bets.

But altely its been breakeven, and I'd say horses single currently biggest winner.
Guarantee? Well no that's impossible, but the system I have has the odds stacked incredibly high in my favour.

I'd say its guaranteed that you are talking nonsense

Probably not. But then again, it's you and not your bank balance doing the talking here. I used to deal roulette for a living. Plenty of people walk away up money of a night, a few are still up money after a few nights. No one was up money long-term.

I'm not saying that you haven't made money playing roulette. That's not difficult.
I'm saying you don't have any "system" that stacks the odds in your favour.

The only way to get odds in your favour, is if the casino offers enhanced odds.

You need to get out your calculator again champ.

    NHL and MLB.

Do accumulators on the football every weekend, just €5 or €10, that come in every now and then.

Which markets on the NHL and what types of bets? What do you base your bets on also?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 43 ancientoracle

To win, handicaps, or winning margin for the most part. I generally tend to go for underdogs.

NHL is a very even professional sport, not rare to see clear favourites get humbled on their own turf. I'm a big Bruins fan and being betting on the NHL for a good few years now.

I keep detailed stats and Numbers spreadsheets on the bets I do and pay close attention to team forms so I'll be confident of the majority of bets I do.

MLB I've only started getting into the last year or so, so this wil be the first really year I will be concentrating fully on it.

For me it's tennis, and betting on players holding their serve. Also, in soccer I usually bet on home teams getting more corners, overall it gives me a decent return.
