Looks like a heart attack on the pitch. Didn't look very good for him, think game is being called off now.

    Sounds very bad
White Hart Lane is a very subdued place at the moment while everybody awaits news of Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba. Ian Dennis, BBC Radio 5 live's chief football reporter, has just reported that Muamba is fighting for his life.

Bolton had a lad who collapsed a few years ago as well. Fadiga wasn't it? Had to be fitted with a pacemaker. Hope Muamba manages to pull through.

hope he will be ok ...not watching the game but reading some reports on what happened it doesnt look good.

Absolutely terrible to hear about this. I didn't see it but it seems bad, Sky Sports Live Commentary said the medical staff were trying to resuscitate him.

I sincerely hope he will be okay.

Hope he pulls through, horrible for the crowd and the players on both sides to witness - right call to abandon the game. According to reports, he is still receiving CPR on the way to hospital

Ah jaysus, that's shocking to see, puts a lot of **** in perspective.

Jesus lads, in fairness to TroutFisher he had no idea how serious it was, and on first viewing a thread for an injury seems a bit OTT. Lay off him tbh.

    Hope Muamba is alright.

When you're the person looking for the gif/video of the incident you would feel that way.

    Hope the guy is ok.

After watching that unfold I do not see much hope for the chap. Was still getting cpr in ambulance on way to hospital so that is never a good sign.

Thoughts with his family and friends at this point in time.

    Statement from Bolton

"Bolton Wanderers can confirm that Fabrice Muamba has been taken to hospital following his collapse at White Hart Lane this evening during the FA Cup quarter-final.

There is no further information at this stage."

Owen Coyle and Kevin Davies on their way to the hospital as well

Shut the fcuk up, seriously. No need to act the complete twat. I expressed my concern for Muamba, and perhaps I said some things sooner than I should have said them, but there was no bad intentions, so cop on and grow up. No need to drag the thread OT.

I can give you the benefit of the doubt,it's human nature to be morbidly curious when something tragic happens.I missed the the incident & just saw the following minutes but was also curious to see what happened.
Didn't look good at the time & judging by the amount of time trying to revive him I fear the outcome won't be good.

Bloody hell. I hope he pulls through. Upsetting news.

I had the game on pause for a bit and didn't realise what had happened until I went to watch it. He was moving fine one minute and the next he was lying face down. The physio tried to turn him on his side but you could see he was completely lifeless. Fair play to ESPN for focusing the cameras away from him. I'm in total shock after seeing that. I hope the lad pulls through.

Apologies to anyone offended, nothing I typed was meant to be offensive.

I genuinely hope he recovers fully. Stuff like this puts things into perspective.

Please God let there be no tragedy here :(

I`ve a feeling he`s passed and they can't announce it. Presenters on SSN look like they know something.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,692 ✭✭✭Dublin_Gunner

Unfortunately this does look frighteningly similar to other cases in recent years of sportsmen collapsing from unknown heart conditions etc.

Any others I've seen like this, they've all died.

I really really hope he pulls through, but I just can't help thinking the worst.

Absolutely shocking looking at this. Incredibly sad day for football today :(

To be fair, we shouldn't be speculating until something is announced.

    Awful awful news.

Went on to skysportsnews, happy enough from today, news has completely silenced me and my friends.

Hope he's ok and pulls through this, thoughts and prayers will be with Muamba for the rest of the day and so on. Completely shocked.
