The Lidl (Parkside) Power Washer is actully 2100 watt and 150 bar pressure.

    See my pictures above.

Would the Lidl washer be worth the extra €60?

The Halfords one is pretty poor.

Halfords one would be very slow going compared to a 150bar unit.

Word of warning to people though 150bar can wreck the sidewalls of you tyres rendering them very dangerous. Max recommended pressure for washing tyres is 110bar.

Reason why I bought the Lidl (Parkside) 2100 watt 150 bar power washer,was/is for cleaning down the likes of the patio area and also the driveway.

Some serious whack off of it.:)

Two questions for those with the washers...
First, I assume the pressure can be dialled down for washing cars and stuff?
Second, these are hardly Karcher models rebranded to Lidl's own?

You cant dial down the actual bar pressure, but you can dial down the turbo lance to give a high power jet blast of water of else a wider, less powerfull flow of water (wider is ideal for washing a car).Theres also a 2nd lance for more delicate water flow and delicate cleaning. Then theres a brush lance too.

    Not Karcher rebrand.

Lidl (Parkside) come with a 3 year warrenty too.

Look at my picture on previous page to see what you get for the money.

    Buyer Beware!!!
Hi bought a Parkside pressure cleaner PHD 150 A1 for €119-99 back in November 2011. The first time I used it the Rotating brush started leaking at the conection to the Jet Gun.Second time I used it (march 2012) the Jet Gun squirting water from the body/lance in every direction.
Contacted the store and was told LIDL have 60 day rule and told me to contact Head office. I was then put in touch with Parkside (UK) who told me that the parts are covered under warranty but that it will up to 28days to receive the parts. (coming from Germany). Its now day 31 and still no parts.
I don't thing I will buy anything Mechanical from LIDL again.

For only £67.50 this Nilfisk would be a far superior pressure washer:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nilfisk-X-Tra-Pressure-Washer-Cleaner/dp/B001TUYV1O/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1335111007&sr=8-1

It's got an aluminium pump which makes all the difference, and Nilfisk pressure washers are highly thought of.

I had the same problem. Although I still have the receipt all the manufacturer wanted was the date of purchase and the store of purchase and posted a new gun out to me.

The washer is a year old and was only used about three times before a hairline crack formed on the gun causing it to be useless. They sent me the new one within a week..!

The address is grizzly at deslimited.com

    Hope this helps..!

The same happend to me. The lance split open and is spraying everywhere. The guarantee booklet says to contact them by phone, but doesn't give the number. When I Google them all I find is complaints that the lances split :(

    Hi folks

    Great feedback on power washers.

In the market for one myself - is Ibood's latest offer as a bargain??

After 60 days Lidl will usually only refund if it can't be repaired. Contact their CS. 1800347447

Where would you get it serviced if it broke down?

Somebody who fixes power washers?

There is a manufacturer's 5 year warranty with it.

I don't think power washers break down too often anyway.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come across as curt. The ibood machine looks like great value but I've had problems with grey imports before, nobody wants to touch them.

Buying local might be your best bet then. It does work out to be more convenient if something goes wrong but you might end up paying more.
Best thing to do is price them up locally and see if the price difference justifies the extra convenience.

    http://www.argos.ie/static/Product/partNumber/7420449/Trail/searchtext%3ENILFISK.htm

Thats basically the c120 with a longer hose and 2 year warranty.

    [edit]
Actually the ibood one seems to be a new model of c120 with a less powerful motor and lower flow rate .. 440k/hr versus 550l/hr for the centennial

The centinneal is bsically teh same as c120 3-6 whereas the ibood one is c120 6-6. Wonder did they put in bigger brushes in the motor in order to offer the 5 year warranty.

You seem to know your power washers from the couple of places I've seen you talk about them.

I know you recommend the Nilfisk ones so do you think the one you linked to there is a good one?

Need one to do the patio & the other odd job but not much more.

Just a note about the Lidl one.

I took one back this evening, with receipt, to Lidl which was only bought in August. The lance started leaking from its seams.

They gave me a refund without even looking at it.
