I hate boards today!

When I was about 14, I watch the origonal exorcist movie - on my own - at 4:30 am, with the nearest person or priest a good 5 miles away, so - Since then, I left horrors on the shelf.

It actually really bothered me due to me having some sort of faith - that film did terrible things to my brain - I did not sleep right for months and can still see linda blairs cracked face which sends me off the wall with fear.

So anything to do with that sh1t I stay well away from - But - Thanks to boards for the last 3 days, All I can see at the bottom of each thread, is ads for the devil inside - A film I hope I never have the unfortunate experience of watching!

I cant thank you enough boards - I didnt sleep last night after logging off.

    * I will also hunt down and kill the first person to post a pic of Linda Blair.

Is my fear over the top or is anyone else the same?

I've had a similar experience although mine was me aged 10 or so watching The Omen with the babysitter

I have seen one horror movie since then..

It's not the movie itself that is scary, it's the capability of my imagination and all the religious scary stuff that the nuns and priests inflicted on me as a child in school.

I would prefer not to see that nun freak thing on my screen everytime I log on to boards..

I think the movie is out soon and then hopefully that scary nun will feck off to bejaysus...

    :(

You poor divil:eek: It's only make believe...Larry Murphy is not unfortunately :( I was a real scaredy cat as a child but I actually made myself watch horrors and now I love them. Nothing is as scary as it was when u were a kid.

Thinking about it the only film that really scared me was the 'Amityville Horror', and that was only because I was watching it in a darkened room on my own, and my house mate snuck up behind me and went

    'WWHHHHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!'

me too op, never watch horrors after watching one with the sister when she was babysitting me when I was young, didn't sleep for months after and just couldn't be bothered with them now. Same sister inducted my daughter into horrors when she was young, started her on most haunted when she was about 10 and now she's addicted to the stuff so much so that she wants to actually make horror movies for a living.

Couldn't give a crap about the nun though.

feck yeah, i couldnt stand those Devil Inside ads at the bottom of threads,it was the blank white eyes staring at the camera that scared me most!
tbh i can watch things like that, even the original exorcist gets a few laughs from me when i watch with mates or whatever :pac:, but its only after the movie and im going to bed that i start freaking out over it seriously, my imagination is insane sometimes!!:(

I love the exorcist parody in the Scary Movies (2 or 3) where she twirls her head ,projectile vomits and then the priest (James Woods ) aborts the exorcism saying '' I'm getting the fcuk outta here '' :D

Thought I'd seen the last of psychotic nuns the day I left school. Thanks, Boards!

I think horrors are stupid, not scary and predictable, seen all the usual movies, the gory ones are not scary either, just gross, like saw, hostel nd whatever.

Funny enough the one movie I still can't watch is beetlejuice, I was 6 watching it, it doesn't scare me as such, just bugs me now..
Oh and the worm in labyrinth again for some reason?

Im the one no one will watch horrors around, was in a mate's house one night, went the bathroom and snuck out the back door with a hoodie and the biggest knife I could find, the street light shone on the window and when I heard the que for the scary part. (window was slightly opened) I walked slowly across the window and pulled the window fully opened, hoodie over my face and knife in hand, well I never heard people scream so loud and they were crying too, wish I had a camera.. :(

That's the best fun I had watching a scary movie.. Otherwise it's just predictable boredom..
