What type of music do you listen to when training /exercising?...

Whether it be walking, a long run, trying to do heavy weights , doing 50 press ups , punching a bag ...

    Does music help you ?

I listen to whatever is playing, if I were to wear earphones in the gym, I'd start talking to myself loudly about the people there and making random noises. I already do it but just quietly so I don't think anyone heard me. Except for when I get down from pull up, the second my feet touch the floor I go 'boop' someone heard that one :o

I just listen to whatever's on in the gym. Energie's jukebox supplier seems to rotate the music very frequently so it doesn't get stale. I just find headphones and the accompanying iPod to be too distracting.

Greenday are the best go getting my speed up when running

Strangely enough I also like to listening to Barbra Streisand 'dont rain on my parade' at the end of a run or when I'm struggling to get going... Haha

Nah nothing strange there. Keeps your mind occupied so you don't get bored withthe on-the-spot cardio. I love using the treadmills when there is a football match on tv because I just watch it and end up running for far longer than I would've otherwise ran on the treadmill/

This keeps me going for a good while....

    :pac:

If I'm listening to music, I generally listen to up-tempo songs from Muse, or else 90's pop/dance songs, plus I like 50 cent too.
I often listen to the radio if there is commentary of a soccer/rugby/GAA match being broadcast.
