Can anyone tell me is it possible to have different text in each footer at the end of a page? Every time i create an footer on the first page of a document, it carry's it through all the footer on the document. EG - I write citations boards.ie thread 122" or something to that nature, it will appear on every page any way of stopping this so I can have the footer text different on each page?

    Many Thanks

Doing this off the top of my head - insert a section break between the pages that you want different footers, then click the footer to edit it. There should be a button on the toolbar something like "link to previous" that will break the link between the two sections for the footer.

    I hope that makes sense!

I have page breaks and section breaks in the document and when I edit the footer and click 'link to previous' it remains the same. IE copying all footer notes onto every page rather than having seperate footer text on each page. MS Word 2007.. any ideas?

As the first reply says, footnotes and endnotes are two different things.. but just don't forget to make each page a section.
