Ok so im often browsing though these pages picking up little bits of advice here and there, reading diet and exercise books, googling etc etc. basically spend half my day obsessing about my weight.

How the hell do people maintain a healthy body image and still be constantly obsorbing information about how to lose weight or how much more exercise we should be doing?!

They dont. They pick a plan and stick to it.

I used to read Men's Health regularly. Even now I pick it up only in airports as something light to read, but it really pi$$ed me off because it kept contradicting itself. Page 4: Eat eggs and bacon in the morning to lose your gut. Page 86: Scientists at the university of Lincoln have found eggs and bacon in the morning actually prevents weight loss.Make up your effing mind!

The simplest plan is to try and eat heathily, be aware of what you are eating and how many calories it contains, and try and exercise as much as you can.

I was in the US for about 2 weeks last january, and despite it being a business trip and therefore all meals were expensed, I lost 5kg because I found it much easier to calorie count. One evening I was planning to "be healthy" and have a salad with my steak. I then realised the dressing for the salad added about 500Kcal to the meal. So I added some red wine vinegar instead.

Instead of spening an hour on the internet looking up health tips, go for a walk instead.
