His 2nd goal is unreal and the speed of him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,184 ✭✭✭✭Pighead

Even more impressive is the fact that the game was against Internacional who are one of the powerhouses of South American football. His speed is unreal. What's the story with him with regards to transfers? Has he signed a pre-contract agreement with any of the big European teams?

Real Madrid were in for him last year, but he signed a 5 year contract with Santos. As far as I understand he sold shares of his future fees to an investment group.

There was rumours that Barca had agreed with Santos too buy him next year but nothing has come of it as yet.

Though Barca and Real are the supposed favourites to sign him.

    Amazing.

Hope he comes to Europe soon.

He has said he is staying till after the 2014 WC, who knows in football though, he will only be going to Madrid or Barca, City would be in with a shout I suppose, depends on how they progress. The south americans seem to end up in Spain if they get the chance

The second reminded me of a young Ronaldo (Brazilian one )

The one flaw with a player like that, is like torres, owen etc, he depends on his speed, a few hamstring injuries and he be very limited. Also the premier pitches would kill him due to their wetness etc.

Also he would be took out of it in the premier league before he got anywhere on the second goal. So maybe he better going to Spain and not England.

On the 3rd goal, that touch to take him around the defender where it almost looked like he'd mis-controlled it was just stunning.

Looks like Messi may has some competition.

I'm very keen to see how he will rise in one of the big European leagues. He won't be anywhere near England thats for sure, definitely Spain.

I was tryign to get a look at the juke he did with his right knee about 15 yards outside the box that sent one of the defenders to his (Neymar's) left and then opened the gap for him to go through. Impossible, lightning quick. Surely one of the fastest in world football.

The recopa and club world cup are hardly tournaments ''Powerhouses'' are proud of winning. They hardly matter, Boca used the recopa to blood 1 or 2 youngsters a few years back. The Sudamericana and Libertadores wins are nice, but they haven't won anything of note in Brazil in over 20 years.

Good team, not a powerhouse by any means.

The second goal is unreal. Reminds me of a combination of that goal (the real) Ronaldo scored years ago where he ran through two players and the one he got for Barca where Bobby Robson was left speechless.

It'll surely be on the FIFA goal of the year shortlist again this year.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,635 ✭✭✭token56

I think he would be best going to Madrid. He seems to like to run at players similar to Ronaldo and I think he would have more freedom to do that at Madrid than Barca. Although I'm sure he would fit in well at Barca, just think he might have to adapt a bit more there.

For the sake of argument could it not just be agreed that considering the achievements they have in the last few years they are no pushovers?

Which is all the poster was trying to point out I believe, that it was against good opposition, not against the best in the world!

    Neymar
    Ronaldo
    Benzema

with Ozil, Kaka, Di Maria and Higuain in reserve.

seriously Madrid, just fúck off if that happens.

Yeah it's kinda like this goal he scored for barcelona, my favourite player ever.

I remember watching highlights of him with Inter on Saturday mornings on football Italia. Those were the days :)

2 great goals, but its not an incredible hatrick when one of the goals is a peno.

Messi's in a class of his own - can't see Neymar reaching the standards Lionel has.

Slightly different styled player as well.

Want to know why Messi will always be greater then Neymar?......because Messi would NEVER risk this.....

The most impressive thing is that SA league football is such a high standard. That boy gonna tear up Europe somethin bad.

Then again, you had Zidane doing the same peno in a WC final and scoring.

That first video has to be sped up. Look how fast the legs are moving even on the lads on the other team. Two class goals so no need to speed them up

I suppose theres a case to be made that the defender went in way to reckless, which, wehn watching the video you can see.

His team are 5-0 down in the last few minutes and Neymar is taking the phiss in the corner, no need to go in and try to do him so to speak but you can see why it was given.

IMO it wasnt a red though, theirs minimual contact.

Can he do it on a wet Tuesday night in November v Bolton? I agree he'll be going to Barca or Real.
