Mid-morning snack - alternative to tuna

I have been eating a tin of tuna with either a couple of rice cakes or a few Ryvita for the past 8 - 9 months every weekday morning around 10am as I get really hungry after my morning workouts. I have a protein shake as soon as I get into work (about 30 minutes after my workout ends) but need something to fill the gap until lunch, which is where the tuna comes in.

The problem is that I'm getting a little sick of it now and need something else to eat. I need something simple with little to no preparation, that will give me 25 - 30g of protein and will taste nice. I eat pre-cooked chicken for lunch so don't want to have the same thing for mid-morning.

Any suggestions? I don't mind having to cook something the previous night as long as I can get a few days eating out of it.

You could make a fritatta which would last a couple of days and is yum.
Smoked salmon filled with cream cheese - or just smoked salmon and cream cheese on your ryvita (or oatcakes would be better)
    Turkey slices
Cottage cheese with blueberries and flakes almonds
Boiled eggs and a few nuts
The likes of venison sausages from M&S, if you have a microwave they can be precooked and re-heated and are about 10gms protein each.

Some good ideas there, thanks. I especially like the fritatta and could cook a big one which would last a few days. I try to avoid the cream cheese as it's got quite a lot of fat in it, and cold boiled eggs don't do anything for me.

The sausages sound nice but then again sausages are usually packed full of fat as well.

    Cheers!

There ain't nothing wrong with a bit of fat!

    Agree.
I enjoy ready to eat prunes and macadamia nuts together.
Or a slice of ham and cheese rolled up.

Tub of cottage cheese! I find the Lidl one fairly palatable reasonable portion size also.

I make very thin little omelettes that I use as wraps and fill with all kinds of crazy stuff, from home made tomato salsa to ham and cottage cheese.
You can do the same with the leaves of a gem lettuce - superfood super snacks!
