Hi,I gave blood earlier this evening, and had an iron reading of 14.3, which the Nurse said was normal.

However google seems to suggest that this is low?

Anyone know what units or scale that 14.3 refers to?

What are the normal iron levels?

As far as I know, for males you can donate if you're over 13g/dL, and for females it's 11g/dL (not sure about this one!).

    14.3 is fine!
