NO thread started so people must be assuming that we will beat them off the park?

    Saha hat-trick!

    Saha hat-trick!

    Saha not playing.
Defoe always scores a couple against the crap sides.
    Lennon might score too.

    COYS

    Handy enough win.

We need to give them a good hammering. Beat them by 4 or 5, and shake some of the cobwebs that are hanging about. No reason whatsoever we shouldn't be winning easily.

Depending on the lineup I dont see this game being easy.. Not really sure what to expect from the players, back to the old unpredictable spurs for me.

    He's not?
    Why not
Skybet bast*rds have him at 10/1 to score 3.

I think we'll get an easy enough win here. It was a big upset for them getting the draw at home but it'll be a different story at the Lane. I just hope we don't play like we did against Watford, though I think we learned our lesson from that match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,994 ✭✭✭KingdomYid

This being at the Lane means it will be a fairly comfortable win IMO. As has been previously said, a good win and performance to restore some confidence would be great. COYS!!

    Wahey !

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,951 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Much better in the 2nd half, though in fairness Stevenage should've had a goal a few minutes ago.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,075 ✭✭✭Pacing Mule

Dawson - suspected ruptured ankle ligaments. That's another long term one :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,951 ✭✭✭SuprSi

Bugger, that's something like what he had before. He could be out for 12 months with that. That's some rotten luck.

Who went off injured? Dawson and who?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,747 ✭✭✭irishmover

    Lennon.

Meh through to quarter final. Bolton at home should be doable.

Could limp into the semi final I guess.

    Lennon.

Team i would like to see v Everton:

    Brad
    Walker
    Kaboul
    King
    BAE
    VdV
    Modric
    Parker
    Bale
    Ade
    Defoe.

Daws wont be any loss as we got plenty of cover in that area , lennon on the other hand.

Can i say it again? JD plays he scores;) he needs a run in the team.

Are you for real ? He is the immediate back up to king and kaboul, and we know kings situation. Gallas is next in line and he hasn't played in god knows how long..

Daws has had little or no game time this season and with gallas and nelson as back up to King and Kaboul he no loss.

Is it a coincidence that Dawsons return to the team has coincided with our dip in for,?

Only kidding, we were lucky to have him for the last few seasons but I think we will do okay.

Eh was he not been injured for most of the season ?

To say he is no loss is madness, anyway...

I was never a fan tbh , he not good enough to be one of our regular first team centre halfs. I for one won't miss his aimless punts forward at the best of times to the oppostions keeper.

Don't get me wrong, I'd have king and kaboul playing ahead of him too if fit, but with Kings injury record, dawson was the immediate back-up. And Gallas/Nelson don't exactly fill me with confidence at the minute either.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 582 ✭✭✭RoboClam

In fairness, Nelson had an awful, awful game. Our defence was shocking in that match, every time the ball was crossed into the box we struggled to clear it.

Both Gallas and Nelson have had very little game time this season, so I really think that we don't have sufficient cover at centre back at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,747 ✭✭✭irishmover

Nelsen. And yeh he's pretty awful.

Dawson is a loss because he's the best of the rest. Now if that isn't proof that we need a new centre half then I dunno what is...

    Vertonghen anyone?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,994 ✭✭✭KingdomYid

To hear any Spurs fan say Dawson's absence is not a loss is disappointing, no matter what is said about the guy he bloody well knows how to defend.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,661 ✭✭✭mickman

And he is a great guy who always does his best.
