I'm opening a bar in Dublin and am looking to rename the pub.

How do you search if a name is trademarked and can be used?

Thanks in advance for the replies

You can search registered business names here; you can search Irish trademarks here, where pubs are under class number 43.

If you're worried about possible trademark disputes, the Patents Office have an advice service, but I think the only way to be absolutely sure you will have no trouble is to get a lawyer to look at it for you.

You can also use your own name without any trademark issues.

All the best with the new venture. Where will it be?

Or even their username. Would be a great pub name.
