Another window U-value question

    Hi,
    Who determines the u-value of windows? Do the manufacturers themselves determine the u-values or is it independently verified? Also, if the windows are made to measure won't the U-value be slightly different for each one?

    It should be tested to a recognised norm such as a BS EN ISO 12567-1:2000 and ISO 10077-1:2006

    It is best to separate the frame from the glass, the combined value can be vastly improved by using a small frame area and lots of good U-Value glass, so ask the suppliers for the frame U-Value and watch them squirm.
