Has anyone seen this over Frenchpark recently?

It's a small passenger plane similar to this
    http://www.jetair.co.uk/cache/public/application/media/image/460_525-250-1.jpg

It's been flying very low maybe 20-30 ft (estimated) above the roof over the area the past 3 days and always in the same direction (south to north).

    Anyone else seen it??

Yep, flew over the house this morning, very low, gave us all heart failure, heading in the direction of Sligo.

Odd, doesn't look like a survey plane. You could ask in Aviation forum. Maybe someone there can figure it out.

yes been seeing this regularly, it goes up towards frenchpark from the boyle area, turns and comes back.

does it regularly most Saturdays about 3 or 4 times.

it looks like someone learning to fly, that or someone checking out the area.

would it ever be one of them planes who takes pictures of houses then sells them to the house owners?

Could it be the same airplane that the government has put to the air to check that bogs aren't being cut against EU directives?

No this was definately not a cessna (was much bigger) - and it was flying way too low and fast to be checking out bogs.

Flew over the house this morning, low enough that we could read the word 'SURVEY' on the side of it.

    It may be this plane

    http://www.tellusborder.eu/NR/rdonlyres/7F2249E9-111B-46BA-B89F-11F906F49A5B/0/Planeimage.jpg

Its part of the of the Tellus border project which is a geophysical and geochemical survey of Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth. If you are near the border of Sligo or Leitrim you may also see it. It flys at 50-60m from the ground and. The website www.tellusborder.eu . I was part of the ground survey team for this project which as just finshed sampling as of yesterday.
