No points in the second half and the phenomenal first half performance fired out the window. Supporting Ireland = ****ing irritating business.

I thought we were really poor in the 2nd half. Lucky to get away with a draw.

    Who got MOTM anyway?

Didn't play great rugby at any point but Jesus they defended like demons.

    The back row were superb.

    I hate draws. Hate them.

It's weird that it's our second best result in France in 40 years and I just feel meh about it.

Thought Pearson was disgracefully bad as a referee. Was especially harsh towards Ireland in most circumstances. Took an age to give us a penalty in the last 5 minutes even though there were blue jerseys lying all over the ball.

Obviously would have liked a win but I'll take a draw. Hopefully Fofana will be cited for his cheap hit on Sexton. He was instrumental to most of their play and would be sorely missed

**** result against a woeful French team.
Yeah, sure we've only beaten them in France once in nearly 40 years and lost every other time. But definitely a sh!te result.

Looks like it's gonna boil down to Sextons easy miss penalty at the start

Are you aware Parra missed 2? Ridiculous trying to blame it on Sexton, no other nation has such venom in their supporters towards one player.
Not to mention Sexton kicking one from the sideline but sure...

And into a decent wind as well...

    I blame George hook....

We didn't take our chance, 66minutes in Sexton should have dropped and slotted, we were going nowhere in the French 22

Immense performance though with a lot of positives to take into next week

A draw is always a disappointing for both teams. I've criticised Kearney in the past but he was exceptional today.

Seriously? France played much better in 2nd half. We should have scored in 2nd half but "absolute losers"?

I hope whoever it was here that predicted the 17-17 draw did the lotto!

Great game. Let's hope they can build on that performance this time. Shame we couldn't shade it in the end.

    Bowe.

Kearney must feel he has to grow wings or something.

Absolute master class in playing 15 from Rob Kearney.

Forget history, based on TODAY it wasn't a great performance. I don't care about history books.

    France's pack were absolutely immense.

Dunno if it's been mentioned, but Pearson was shockingly one sided. And in a game that was so close, it really mattered.

Kearney was clearly the best player on the pitch again. He's just in amazingly good form.

Tommy Bowe MOTM. Could we not give it to both him and Rob?

Wood said at half time that Irish fans were annoyed that we had no consistency. That we could play like world beaters one week an U13s the next.

Unfortunate that we managed to see a similar problem all within one game!

I've been watching the 6Ns in France, on French TV for the last 20 years.
They (the french commentators) are great men for blaming the 'ref for their woes. Its a national sport
Today, for the first time that I can remember they have said that the 'ref is being kind to them! On three seperate occasions!!.
Galthie even said twice he would have "blown" the other way when Pearson pinged Ireland what_smile.gif

    6-17

    Somebody pinch me laugh.gif

    40 to go 49_49.gif

40 to go & no score from the men in green :(

I never ever ever ever thought I'd see the day when French Tv would be happy with a draw & thank the referee for helping them to it.

Ireland really missed a great 'op today & for the first time ever I can be a totally integrated frenchman & say " c'est la faute a l'arbitre" :D

Not to mention Barnes giving that lineout to France which shouldn't have been.

How? He was pretty balanced in my view. I'm guessing you mean towards France, but really, if he were more strict, Ireland would've had at least one yellow.
