Intermittent keyboard failure on HP EasyNote

On restart, the keyboard works again. Next time she reboots, it fails again.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Could it be a serious motherboard problem?
Help!! (She'll want to start using my laptop)

it sounds like the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard has come loose.
google for a video on how to reconnect it properly for your laptop's model or take it to a repair shop.0 -
