    Price on bhphoto - 3,499.00 USD = 2,637.95 EUR ??

With Conns price difference I could take a few days in New York and
    buy it :O...

Jayzus that's a filthy price for euros. How in **** is that conversion making any sense?? Quite literally 1000 more than USD>Euro?? Maybe try just wanted the numbers to match up all pretty.

Hoping my retailer can do a tidy price on this. Waiting for a mail back!

    OK well thats an improvement

I have seen sample pics and been having a discussion in a canon fanboy forum and many are not happy.

why? because this camera uses way too much AA filter which makes still images blury/vasaline looking but makes video look great.

The AA is stronger then the 7d as well. So its not looking good.

ISS are a trade shop though mostly, right ? That price is probably minus VAT.

I don't do landscapes and as much as I loved my mk II it was useless for fast action or multi people shots....but the price of the new model is horrendous.

The new 61 point AF should be much better for focus, but still only 6fps. Not ideal for sport.

The price is probably due to component shortage/cost due to all the natural disasters in that part of the world, forcing prices up.

    lol why?

I can't afford it, so if it's a lemon (i know im exagerating here) then no bother...

tbh its the camera the 5dmk2 should have been, more like a 5dmk2n. As usual we will be bent over on pricing

The prices of the new 24-70 and 70-200 f2.8 are also pretty steep for not very much gain.

he gains ar ebig on the 70-200 f2.8 mk2 mate what u on?

WEX offering pre-orders for £2999 body only. I certainly won't be upgrading, it's not like the MKIII makes the MKII a bad camera all of a sudden.

That doesn't stack up. Nikon has not increased it's prices to that extent. Canon is gouging its customers. Could be a mistake. Nikon d800 for 2900 or mark 3 for 3600. That's a big price difference
