    Cakewalk.

    comfortable 2-0 win.

Maybe more if they are in the mood.

Ajax are a good few levels below United.

No more Valencia style injuries please. Its just not worth it. I would like to see a team play that are due some minutes on the pitch and hopefully a totally different 11 against Norwich on Sunday give or take 1 or 2.

Hoping for a shock 3-1 away win here....not going to happen though. :(

Going to be very interesting to see what the team will be tonight, given we have a game this weekend.

    Amos

    Rafael-Smalling-Evans-Fabio

    --Carrick-Jones-Cleverley

    Park
    Hernandez---Welbeck

De Gea, Evra, Ferdinand, Pogba, Anderson, Nani, Berbatov.

Would love to see Pogba starting, but I don't think it is going to happen - as much because of the contract situation as anything else imo.

    Pogba needs more game time

Looks like Giggs could play, that'll be 900 games for United.

Mixed feelings here. Lots of responsibility on Jones' shoulders with the captain armband and being put back in to CB (which I'm delighted with as he needs to learn his trade sometime!).
Park makes sense in terms of experience but not positioning. He doesn't play that two man midfield well at all.
    Cleverley, yay! :D
    Decent bench.

    No Pogba. :(

No Pogba at all . Jesus

Heard a rumour about Pogba today. I refused to believe it but this is pretty disheartening to see.

Why is Jones captaining the team? Surely Park or Nani would be in line before him.

    Doubt thats right

Collymore is working with channel 5 at the match and gives the teams out in twitter every match he is at

Absolutely fair fúcks to Jones, that just shows what SAF thinks about him.

    Gutted about Pogba :(

    De Gea
    Rafael Jones Smalling Fabio
    Nani Cleverley Park Young
    Hernandez Berbatov

Very risky line up overall though, Park in the middle with Cleverley worries me.

Nani would be a terrible captain. Park too is far too timid for the job (maybe harsh considering he captained Korea). Phil Jones has been given the armband regardless of his age because he is a natural leader.

The one doing the rounds is Pogba has been told he either signs a contract or he won't play for United.

I saw Mr. Crinklewood saying the same thing on the Superthread and that the same applies for Fryers.

Sorry I meant that I read on Twitter from a guy that was fairly confident that Pogba wasn't in the squad at all. That was at 1 o'clock today.

He seems to lay the blame at Fergie's feet, claiming he should just give him the start. Can't say I fully agree but what's the harm in playing him instead of Park tonight? There is more than enough back up on the bench to help in case of a first half **** up.

If that is the case from a club point of view its fair enough

If they have offered him a deal, its hardly going to be a terrible deal and him not signing it is showing no commitment to the club so why should he get the honour of lining out for the club in Europe.

The Rooney saga of a couple of years ago has a lot to answer for I fear in terms of players demanding things of the club, I think both the agents feel they can push the club further than they can, and the club feel like they have to take a stronger line to try to save face after the Rooney incident.

If he has been offered a contract and wont sign, then **** him.

Hopefully this is not the case though

I'd agree from a footballing point of view in principle, but Park is going to have a bigger par to play in the title run in then Pogba so he needs the games too.

An argument can be made for either side really.

I'm sure you will see him if he is. Heres a thought though, don't turn this thread, which has sweet **** all to do with Liverpool, into a Man United V Liverpool thread.

    How about that?

I'm just excited to see Cleverley again, my man love for him knows no bounds.

Oh, and I'm excited to see Jones and Smalling at CB.

Oh, and I'm excited to see Rafa and Fabio at the back.

Oh, and I'm excited to see Nani on the right.

Oh, and I'm excited to see what wonder saves De Gea makes.

    I'm just excited.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

    This is true

I am ecstatic to see a back 5 of De Gea, Raf, Smalling, Jones, Fabio

Delighted, its like looking to the very near future hopefully!

Nani will surely have a better game this week ;)

All kicking off between fans in Manchester city centre apparently. Ajax V Man Utd, not Man Utd V Man City.

    Indeed.

We know how Cleverly moves around... That leaves Park who, if he stood still for too long, would spontaneously self-combust...

I'd doubt Porto are helping proceedings either. Apparently many Ajax and Porto planned on going to both games.

Unsure of where it is, but the Binary Bar in Castlefield has apparantly been attacked. Three loud bangs heard.

    Multiple sources on Twitter.
