A couple of years back I lost a lot of weight, but in the last two years or so Im creeping back up. Im no where near my original weight, but had lost 4.5stone, have now put back on 1.5 stone...... and the problem for me now is.....

I just have no time. I am in college 3 nights a week straight from work so leave home about 7.45/8am in morning and get back at 10.30pm , which allows me 1 night a week to exercise, study etc, as I have to travel each Friday and back down on Sunday.. I try get in a long walk at least twice a week, but I find Im so tired from all the running around that im eating rubbish for energy!!

I really need to stop this from getting worse.... I want to get my weight back down.....

Any recommendations on how I can fit in more exercise? I lost the weight the last time through exercise, and I know the 80 food 20 exercise rule but for me, its about 50/50 at least! I cant do one without the other!!

    Thanks guys
    x

Am no expert but if you get public transport could you get off the bus, 30 mins from where you work & do a brisk walk?
Or try to fit some sort of brisk walk in on your break?

Will probably get slated for this but there are some really good workout DVD's that you could get & do 3 20 min sessions at home?

Other than that cut the crap out! Rubbish only provides temporary energy, you need to be eating slow release carbs to keep you going..

Answer this honestly: how much time do you spend watching tv, reading, or doing other time wasting things?

Do you get a lunch hour in work that you could use for some light training?

And I get you on the travel two nights, college three, that leaves two nights per week and all day sunday, no? :)

Im not trying to pressure you, but you need to see the opportunities you have available, and use them. And exercise creates energy, you should find that when you exercise you have more energy, not less.

Thanks for the replies guys, Im going to make an effort to cut the crap out of my diet.
I honestly dont even get to watch TV from Monday to Friday, maybe a Saturday evening might watch an hour or so.
I genuinely dont have any time - and I really need to look at maybe trying to do something before work in the mornings, will just be a very long day..
But I am a fierce motivated person but I just dont want to kill myself.

If I can get my diet in check, and try and get exercise in 3 times a week would that work?

Unfortunately I have quite a pressurised job, so on Tuesday my only day off I end up working late to make up for leaving early to go to college.... I get about 15 mins to take a lunch....

Im conscious if I read this it sounds like excuses excuses but I honestly want to figure out how I can fit in more exercise. I work in the country so no public transport and no way of cycling to work!!

    Hi Goldenlady,
I cut hard carbs (pasta, rice, potatoes and bread) completely (or as much as possible) out of my diet for a New Years resolution and I honestly cant believe how the weight is falling off me! Worth a try but try hard and stick with it! its difficult but its working for me!
