What (Place) am I?

    Could be a town, city, county/state, province or country.

    Describe the place with either key facts or things that people might know about the place so that they can guess the place. Similar to guessing 'what am I' game as in a celebrity/animal. Can play that game too if ye wish but think the place game might be more fun???

    I start off.

    I have a river, many tall buildings and famous iconic monuments that would be well known world wide, got a gift from France, I am off the Atlantic Ocean, I speak English, What place am I? You can ask me questions while guessing?

    It is often smokey, has monsoons, its somewhere in Asia, close to cities that have high sky scrappers, its a country, famous for rice and curry. People often commute by bike.
