i dont see a thread on this already

you can get the apk from here - http://forums.dropbox.com/topic.php?id=53817&replies=185
this is for a beta version of dropbox which automatically uploads camera photos and videos to a folder within your dropbox called "camera uploads"

ive been waiting for this feature for some time and it seems dead handy
i know other services provide similiar but im a big fan of dropbox so this is good for me
it also gives you 500mb free storage once you upload your first photo

it has 4 options on top of what the normal dropbox app offers and they are:
    1. do not upload photos
    2. upload only on wifi
    3. upload on wifi and upload on 3g when file is under 25mb
    4. upload on wifi and 3g, all files

so far (about 2 hours usage) im happy with it

Dunno if this still applies but originally for that beta(for all platforms) you could earn 5GBs extra space, 500MB for the first file, and then 500MB for the 9x subsequent 500MB uploaded of imgs and video, but only through the importer!

Its the reason I'm now at 18.9GB :D

maybe i should start recording some hd video to upload then to try it out!

    ++ update
they are still giving out more megs as i upload more stuff :)

    Nice work, 3.5gigs and counting.
This makes up for the previous dropbox fail. Although I still have to use drop sync in tandem

Have a HTC One X (borrowed it in work), Came with a nice bonus of 25GB extra Dropbox space. Yippee. To make up for the fact that it has non-extendable memory i presume?

Sorry that APK link does not work.

You don't need the beta version anymore. The updated version of dropbox in the Play Store has this feature

2GB is the standard space, the extra 23GB is for Htc customers and disappears after 2 years. It's been hacked so anyone can install it.

Sounds like a nice job if they are giving out HTC One X on a loaner - that's not out on release yet anywhere in Europe to the best of my knowledge

    Whats it like?
Looking at it or the One S or Xperia S
