Dropbox 23GB of free space (for 2 years)

You must have an android device for this to work!

As found on : http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1550699 and HotUkDeals

Linky : http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5152607/Drop...v2_theos0o.apk

Step 1: If you already have Dropbox installed on your Android device, you must Clear data, Force close and finally uninstall it from Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Dropbox.

Step 2: Download and install the Dropbox+23GB APK Be sure to enable Unknown sources under Settings > Applications or Settings > Security (on ICS) before installing the APK!

Step 3: Launch the app as usual and log in.

Step 4: Wait for the confirmation email.

The confirmation email can take up to 30 mins

From what i understand the space is valid for 2 years afterwards you go back down to whatever space you had before. Also, the 23GB is added to whatever capacity you currently have eg If you have 4GB now you will have 27GB afterwards.

Also, once i got notification i was able to uninstall this dropbox app and install the market one.

Got this yesterday when I seen the story on RedmondPie.

Got my 23GB extra space within 2 minutes! Was very happy!

Didn't post it here, as I assumed the mods wouldn't allow it...

Thanks anyway

Wow fantastic, just did it, worked perfect! Thanks OP!

Funny I just found another way to get more storage - see here: http://fiverr.com/vatrik/expand-your...ccount-to-10gb - worked great for me I got 8gb. Good for anyone who does not have an Android phone.

I don't really see the appeal of this... lets say for the sake of argument that you fill up the 23gb over the two years. By the end of it you have to do a massive cleanup/cull of data in your dropbox (or, as I suspect is their goal, upgrade your dropbox to a $10 a month pro 50 account to preserve your data).

Its very handy for students like me. I have a couple of different shared folder which are quite big college projects. So this will be very good. I probably won't use dropbox when I finish college.

I'd say the free cloud capacity will greatly increase in the next two years and they will probablly have other offers to increse your space so you may not have to do such a massive cleanup.

Worked great for me - got the email after a couple of minutes and upgraded. Up to 27gb now, but it says its only for the next 24 months, not 2 years.
