Some HTML emails not displaying properly

Maybe someone could shed some light on this for me as I'm not sure if it's a problem on my end or with the email server.

I use OS X's Mail client and recently all emails received from my college email address (which is hosted by Gmail) are appearing as plain text. So any logos etc in HTML are just coming up as raw code. This started happening across all my devices (two Macs and two iOS devices) at the same time - but only on recently received email. Deleting and re-creating the account on the iOS devices seemed to fix the problem, but doing the same on the Macs has been unsuccessful. Old HTML emails on the account are fine, but new ones are appearing as raw code. The same emails appear fine on the webmail and using another email client Sparrow.

Any ideas what could causing this?
