Improving circulation?

My dad is on heart/cholesterol medication that seems to affect his circulation leaving him sometimes feeling very cold esp in his feet. He has mention it to his doctor and apperantly it's just a side effect.

I've made him up chilli oil for his feet which seems to help and he is quite active, walks a good bit.

Any suggestions on improving circulation. Not medical obviously.

Statins (cholesterol lowering drugs) can have that effect alright and loss of muscle and muscle pain.

Taking fish oils will help and co enzyme q10 can help

Do a quick search on statins and co q 10 and you will get the message. Mainly to do with muscle loss and weakness but might help for the circulation also.

Hope your dad has a good diet overall also

Thanks yeah he does take fish oils. He does have a good diet, I cook for him and it's about 90% clean. Mostly, two meat dinner, two fish dinner and three veg dinners a week. He does eat a lot of bread though but I'm switching that to homemade bread to take out the salt issue.

He does a fair a bit of walking as well.

I think someone told me that calf raises are good for circulation in the feet?
