would be amazing, doubt it though, what with jay just becoming a dad.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭mufcboy1999

Would be class alright to see them both but like Hugh said with jay being a recent father I doubt it would happen anytime soon.

I know when they were doing gigs in America they were playing niggas in Paris several times in a row lol.

I heard rumours of watch the throne 2 this year too again doubt it though.

Yeah every night, up to 10 times at some of the shows. I like the song but not sure if I'd be happy if I paid to see them and they did the same song over and over again, would get boring after the 2nd or 3rd time. Maybe they were doing it for the video..

I think the footage for the video was actually from Paris, I am open for correction on that though

Yep, you're right, it was recorded at some hotel in paris, good video i can see it winning awards, wish i could say the same about the song, i didn't like it at all.

Aah yeah i read that it was recorded in that hotel, thought they were talking about the video, only the song though, dunno why the fúck they'd go to france to record a song.

Rapping that song in new york or wherever wouldn't be the same, either that or they were literally in paris and freestyled the song (it sounds like they did, still a good song just hardly the best lyrics)

Yeah they really went all over the world to record the album - France, Abu Dhabi, England, Australia, as well as LA, New York and Hawaii. I'd be interested in hearing if there are any plans for a second album because I think they'd have a hard time with the recording process; for the album they would only record while they were together. It wasn't a case where Jay was in New York and Kanye was in Chicago and they were sending stuff back and forth to each other.

Jay did mention it after a listening session though, so hopefully they will do something again, but I think it'll probably be a couple of years away at least.

"Jay-Z also talked about the difficulties of the collaborative process, and said that he wasn't in a hurry to do another collaborative album because of the intense arguments that erupt during the process. Still, he said that he respected Kanye's passion and hinted that more than one Watch The Throne sequel could come in the future."

To be honest I can't see them doing a European tour for all the reasons mentioned and plenty more, I wish they would though...

Gig confirmed for the 8th of June. Tickets on sale on Friday for 69.50 plus fees.

Such unbelievable news. Gonna have to splash out for this. Two of the biggest stars in the world for that price is very good.

I won't be in the country, but it's great news. Gonna be one of the best of the summer I'd say.

Anyone know what the set list was like for the US shows? Watch The Throne was prob the biggest disappointment of an album I have heard in a long time. 1 good song on the whole album IMO.

Jay-Z in the point was one of the best gigs I was ever at, going nuts in the mosh pit after sneaking in. Really wouldn't want to be heading to this if its going to just be the WTT album.

I'm going to try go. This would be amazing

    Savage news!

    Ghostface, check out this video
and all the other videos from the user 'jayzkanyewestvideo'... He has pretty much the entire gig from when they played in Montreal up. Savage videos and they play a great variation of songs from WTT through to other solo stuff as well.

Actually this version of Hard Knock Life is quite good too...

    Looking forward...

One of the lads told me about this earlier, I'm certainly considering it.
I was never a big Jay z fan but i've always been a bit of a kanye fan, really looking forward to it if i can scrape together the money.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,213 ✭✭✭PrettyBoy

Ah lads I can't believe it was only a couple of days ago where we were saying they probably won't be coming here, best news of the year so far absolutely cannot wait for this! :)

Amazing news! I couldn't imagine them stopping in Dublin - will definitely be there.

    Will tickets sell out immediately?

I take it it'll be the standard O2 standing/seating arrangement.

Great news this is , if Lamar and ASAP are confirmed for drake aswell it would be class start to 2012.

I liked WTT even though jay z was awful on it , I still think it was the better than em and royces effort.

Most defeintly the biggest hip hop act in Ireland since eminem, this is gona be huge can't wait.

brilliant news, honestly didnt think they would, although when its such a money making machine why wouldnt they.
easily the two best concerts ive ever been to have been jay and kanye, hard to pick a favorite tbh, but both individually put on a great show.

Presale is on tomorrow, anybody got a code? Or how do you go about getting them?

EDIT - Need o2 code. Anybody got one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,213 ✭✭✭PrettyBoy

Just got 4 priority tickets, should be an unreal show, really looking forward to it :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,503 ✭✭✭Makaveli

Got mine this morning too. It's going to be class.

Also, unlike a lot of posters in this thread I thought the album was one of the better ones from last year.

Was talking to a guy that went to two of the Madison Square Garden shows and he said it's pretty amazing.

Got 7 standing tickets for Drake, kept 4 for myself and 3 friends, sold the other 3 on for a small profit :)

The 4 tickets I got today are for myself and 3 friends but I was thinking of getting a few more on Friday, it will definitely sell out so could be worth my while getting a few standing tickets..

Gonna order my ticket tomorrow or later on tonight. Had forgotten there were going to be presales for this. Hopefully I'll get a standing for it now.

without a shadow of a doubt, gonna sell out, wouldnt be surprised if an extra date was added.
noticed theres a few days off either side of each show, maybe thats to add extra shows depending on sales.

Read on Facebook that there was another London date added, wouldn't surprise me if they add another one for Dublin.

I'm having trouble finding friends to go with. Everybody is either into different music has no money or is doing the Leaving Cert. I'm properly stressing out I'd go with anybody at this stage.

think theres 2 days each empty either side, this is selling out, full and half page articles on page 2 of most of the major news papers tuesday/wednesday, its a big deal.

I'm just concentrating on buying the tickets first. I can find people to go with after that. I don't really care if I go on my own anyway.

I was at the Chilis in November. Lost the people I went with. Managed to get to the very front of the whole thing. 5 feet from the band. Would never have happened if I met up with them lads.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,416 ✭✭✭Jimmy Iovine

Also I reckon it's a banker that there will be an extra date added. Two of the biggest gigs announced in the last few months have been RHCP and Bruce Springsteen. Both sold out and another gig was added (in the case of Bruce it was added 10 minutes after the first gig went on sale). The o2 is only 14,000 capacity iirc and I'd say they could easily sell this gig out 2/3 times.

If you don't get a ticket on Friday keep an eye out straight away for a possibility of an extra gig.

Are the presale tickets sold out? I'm getting that no tickets match screen. I'm assuming they hold a number back for general sale tomorrow.

Cheers for that, I'm looking at getting standing tickets though, been to a few gigs in the o2 with seated tickets and its always been woeful. Does anybody know from experience with presales if standing tickets will be available tomorrow morning or is it just whats left?

The standing allocation will make up the vast majority of the overall capacity so I'd say there's a good chance that there will be some left over. Get there early enough though to be sure. No point in logging on at 11.30 looking for them.

As far as I know there will be standing tickets available tomorrow. I may be wrong but I think the way pre-sale tickets work is that they have a limited number of tickets available for each section (ie. 20% of the total standing tickets will be available at pre-sale, the remaining 80% will become available at the general sale) ...open to correction on this one though.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,970 ✭✭✭mufcboy1999

ye your right the rest of the tickets on sale at 9am tomorrow, gona go ahead buy 2 myself encase one of the lads change their mind closer to the date, so far their is only 2 of us going.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,390 ✭✭✭Doublechinlolz

Lads do you think I'll have any chance going to a ticketmaster outlet tomorrow? They only open at ten and the internet start at 9.00. What are the chances in it completely selling out in the hour?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,214 ✭✭✭Cypher_sounds

Are these guys doing a world tour? If so where can i find the dates as i wont be in the country to see them at the 02 but might catch their show somewhere else.

Hard to say, I wouldn't be surprised if it did sell out within an hour..

Do you not have a credit/laser card you can use?
