    Hi there,

    i started building myself up a bit about 3 months ago now. Just want some advice. Im trying to eat properly (know what my routine should be but im struggling to get the calories in) i've gained like 3lbs so far, im 12stone.

    My arms are very thin compared to my chest .

    Today i increased my dumbell benchpress to 38kg (19kg each side). I'm looking at people on youtube who look approx my size lifting 100kg's etc. is there something wrong with me that im only lifting 38kg's after 3 months? i'm training 3x per week.

    i have a high bodyfat % im sure as i have a bit of a tire going on in the midsection, how can i drop this down in the next 3 months (going to spain and wanna look trim)

    You answered your own question, you've only being lifting for 3 months!
    Do you think those guys on Youtube have only being lifting for 3 months? What did you start off at?
    What type of programme are you following?

    You said you're eating properly but not getting enough calories in, if that's the case you should be losing weight so something is a miss there.

    Get your diet right, follow a decent programme & you'll get results.
    You need to pick a goal. You said you're building yourself up but you want to lose weight for holidays, which 1 is your overall goal?

    well i just weighted myself in my jeans and im 12.5.
    well when i started on dumbells i was lifting like 11kg per hand.

    erm, i want to lose my tire on the front and my kinda man boobs, but gain weight overall if you get me? skinny arms and manboobs with a bit of a belly aint pretty.

    my routine is average 3 sets of a wight i can lift max 12 times on first set.

    so im usually doing like 12, 10, 8 kinda thing, and moving up when i can get 12 on last set.

    bench, incline bench, shoulder press tonight 45 mins, im not knackerin myself out doing it
