We're to lazy to make a thread. We should beat Birginham though but they're a good team and they'll probably come up this year.

    Chanting Jose Mourinho, lol.

Birmingham have looked comfortable, however Chelsea have game changing players on the bench. Still expect Chelsea to win but Hughton can be proud of his team.

Funny hearing Chelsea fans singing Mourinho's name.

    Torres off = goal

You have to feel for Torres, should've stayed with Atletico and be banging the goals in with Falcao, Aguero and/or Forlan.

If Torres had stayed at Atletico he'd never have become the best/2nd best striker in the world for a season or two. He needed to get out of Spain to thrive and of course we can't know if he'd ever have been joined by the players listed above.

Essien asleep on the bench :D

Chris Hughton and his team can be proud of, great achievement for such a small squad.

He was better at Atletico, but outside of the big 2 in Spain there ain't much hype

He was a better goalscorer at Liverpool, but he was never even the best Spanish striker, let alone the best in the world.

torres peaked at liverpool fc where he should still be now but i suppose money talks. i say he regrets it now going to chelsea

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 88,972 ✭✭✭✭mike65

Well we can be sure that he'd not have gone 21.66 hours without a goal playing with Gerrard and Suarez.

I know the Sunderland Arsenal game is on tv later. Are there any other games on today that are on tv?

Already 2-0 too, set up for an epic cup comeback by Blackpool.

I missed the first one, second was messy.
I'd say Everton will trounce them now after that star.

Just tuning in, who scored? Fantastic start! Realluy hoping we can get to the semi-final/final this year.

I think Drenthe got the first and Straquilursi(hmmmm that's probably not right spelling) got the second

Yeah he is doing a good job...Birmingham got the better deal from McLeish jumping ship.

Glad he's back in the starting line-up. He just made another great run there while I was typing this, his pass finished up with a trademark Darron Gibson shot though.

    I'd say it'll end 4-1 to Everton.

Anybody watching the stoke match? Delap just sent off for studs up tackle, i can't make up my mind whether it was harsh or not. . .

Yeah I'm in two minds too. I mean, studs up is dangerous and can be deemed worthy of a red card but the only reason I'm debating whether it is or isn't is coz it's not consistent refereeing.

What's the score in the math who's coming out on top?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,969 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

What's the score in the math who's coming out on top?

    0 - 0

Crouch almost scored an o.g from a corner but it hit the crossbar. I have only one eye on it but Crawley seem to giving it their best shot.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

What's the score in the math who's coming out on top?

crawley on top for the first 15, delap then sent off, more even since but no real chances created at either end

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,593 ✭✭✭theteal

    peno for stoke

    walters scores

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,788 ✭✭✭Benimar

I have to say, I don't think it was even a yellow, never mind the red that was given. One footed, eyes on the ball, ball won. Just because contact is made with a player shouldn't make it a red card..if it does, then we will have reds all over the place.

It seems that the ref wasn't even giving a free but the 4th official intervened and told him to send Delap off. Game is going to the dogs slowly but surely.

now i've seen a couple of replays i'm still split, different angles give different impressions. he did himself no favours by the way he lunged, he was off the ground and his foot was over the ball - it was a dangerous tackle. i can't say i can make out much contact with hunt though

i don't know what the peno was for btw

whats the deal with the wierd coverage on setanta ireland for FA cup matches? The spurs stevenage match doesnt have any half time analysis just like stats and replays similar to what you see on streaming sites and it sounds like martin tyler is the commentator?

Spurs having a few problems vs Stevenage, half an hour left
