That's fair amount of miles! How has the Insignia been reliability wise?

Few problems in the beginning - got better as mileage increased- new fly wheel, power steering pump,4 new brake discs, newturbo pipe and new timing belt needed.

Only 1 timing belt change in 200k km is good going. Fly wheel was a given anyway. I have heard that there was problems with the brake discs alright on the insignias... Thanks for the info though.

You've done 3k miles in 7 months?

Has the car been off the road for an extended period of time or something?

No. In daily use. And that included two trips down the country. So the trips added about 800 miles that I normally would not of done!

415000 km on my VW Caravelle TDI ('99) (approx 258k miles)
298000 km on the '01 BMW 525d (approx 185k miles).
    265000 km on the M5 ('99)
181000 miles on the Audi 200 Quattro ('89) (approx 291k km).

First two ones are my daily depending on task. In general, each of'em is just barely run in.

    I do about 60-100k km/year (that's approx 40-60k miles)

    /M
