    Anyone sit the test?

Just sat the test today. On a scale of 1-10 it would be a 3 compared to a 9 for the PSNI test.

I agree, it's the time constraints, they are nothing compared to the PSNI IST. Where there many at your session?

Yes the hall was as full as for IST. The cull will need to be brutal to get the numbers down. It's gonna be like a Game of Thrones wedding!

    Hahaha nice reference :).

I sat mine earlier in the week and the room was near full. I overheard a few at mine saying they didn't do/know about the practice test, so hopefully that will help reduce the number of high scorers.

I didn't see the practice tests, but thankfully it's basic mental maths and an easier TFCT than IST. So fingers crossed for us.

I didn't get the last question answered and had to best guess a few as I was running out of time, but keeping optimistic about it.

Im a bit gutted even if there had been an assessment centre I might have had some chance to get to that stage but because there isn't the cull will be brutal.

Does anyone know the turnaround time on getting our results?

Don't be so hard on yourself. There were about a dozen on mine struggling to understand the way to fill out the front page. You don't need to run quicker than the lion; just the person running next to you. Hang tough and it will all work out in the end.

They said it should be before Christmas.

Life on Mars you made me laugh.... 😂😂😂 I like your positivity. Least test is completed. I will have to get the head down and get back to basic school stuff in hope the PSNI have a 2016 recruitment drive so I'm ready for that harder number. It's amazing how out of practice you get when not using every day.

    Thank you :-)

Haven't heard anything yet, I'm guessing we will by the end of this week/start of next.

It will either be a good start to Christmas or a bad one! Nobody wants the dear John

I could go from having 3 job applications in play to nothing in 5 days. At least Santa always delivers:-).

I don't think the Prison service have issued results from the selection test, only the PSNI.

Although they did say we should hear before Christmas.

Nope, doesn't even mention a score on the email.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 76 ✭✭SamC321

What did you score, if you don't mind me asking?

I've no idea can't see it anywhere on the email or attachment, it just says I've been invited for interview and then the details of that....did you get one?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 76 ✭✭SamC321

Yes a score for both test at the bottom of the email. I didn't pass that may be why I received results. Strange that but

Aww that sucks, do you have an application in with the PSNI?

There is nothing on mine, maybe if it's a pass they don't tell you for some reason.

It does. Yes, I passed that IST and found this one a lot easier but oh well! You do the PSNI one?
Yeh that must be the case

Hopefully you'll get that then, would be a more varied role.

Yeah I passed the IST also, got my assessment centre not long after my interview for this. Hoping to get one of them.

    Yeah same here.
I thought I would have had longer to try and prepare for the AC but it's not too far off, so will have to make do with what I can squeeze in between now and then. Goodluck with your application, I'm sure you'll do fine.
