RTE1 sound gone gaga...

...same for anyone else? Horrible screeching alarm type sound, coupled with that sound you'd get moving in and out of reception on an indoor aerial! All other channels ok on Sky digital box.

I did hear that the sound was not right.

I hadn't heard the screeching alarm sounds as you put it. However, I did hear sounds while watching the News For The Deaf read by Anne Cassin this evening where her microphone was sort of jumbled.

Also, Nuala Carey's microphone during the european weather was too low at the start and then it turned up.

Just happened on RTE 1 there now. Gave me the kick in the arse i needed to turn of a repeat of the Late Late.
