By all means, post articles from news websites, Rangers statements,... but this is just a rant of some bitter idiot.

    Hardly 'fantastic', more like 'obsessed'.

FIFA said they won't be involved anymore by the way, so far for the hopes of a few idiots that they would hammer us.

edit: Seems like we're playing Arsenal, didn't that moron say we'd only be playing diddy teams ?

You are playing a 45 minute game against what will be an Arsenal reserve team. The first team aren't being called back until the tour of Asia two weeks later.

Arsenal Reserves might not be exactly a diddy team but they are no Real Madrid either.

Seems like no action will be taken by the SFA for Rangers going to a civil court.

I see Rangers might be renaming Murray Park after Moses :) Obviously not the proper Moses as he believed Thou shalt not steal!!

The proper Moses is one of the founders of the club, the one you're on about is a fictional person ;)

So this seems to be what the Appeals Panel has to work off for the punishment tomorrow. Evidently the Disciplinary Panel decided that was that the punishment for Rangers' should fall under the Maximum Sanction which specifically says a fine of £100,000 AND termination of membership. The original panel decided to substitute a transfer embargo for the termination but Rangers successfully argued that was not available to them.

The Appeals Panel will meet tomorrow with the understanding that the Disciplinary Panel rated Rangers deserving of punishment under the Maximum scale. In order for Rangers to retain their membership the Appeals panel will have to drop Rangers down to the Top End category meaning no more than a £10,000 fine and maybe a cup ban which would be an unbelievably lenient punishment for a club guilty of actions just one step below match fixing.

P.S. The Appeals Panel won't be tied by the Disciplinary Panel's announcement that Termination was deemed too harsh and if the punishment announced tomorrow is termination then I believe Rangers will have nowhere left to appeal to.

What are you on about one step under match fixing this was all to do with the Whyte carry on nothing else thats why Rangers fought it.
Rangers were charged with six breaches, with five guilty verdicts and one "not proven".
    Rangers in administration
    Process began on 14 February
    Club deducted 10 SPL points
Players and management agreed wage cuts to enable season's fixtures to be fulfilled
Deadline for securing Uefa licence was missed but club have applied to play in Europe next season
Celtic confirmed as SPL champions on 7 April
Rangers eight points clear of third-place Motherwell with five games to play
The transfer embargo means they can only sign players under the age of 18 for the next year.
Rangers received the embargo and £100,000 fine for breaching rule 66 - bringing the game into disrepute.
A £50,000 fine was handed out for going into administration and £10,000 for failing to ensure that Whyte acted within rules concerning fit and proper officials.
The Gers chairman failed to notify the SFA that he had been disqualified as a director for seven years in 2000.
The club were also found guilty of acting in an improper manner/against the best interests of football and also of failing to pay Dundee United gate receipts from their Scottish Cup meeting. They were "censured" on both counts

The appellate panel will still be making a judgement on Rangers directors ignoring their fiduciary duties

OK your right about that but there is nothing near match fixing in those charges

Bringing the game in disrepute via financial doping/tax evasion to the point where you run into administration after 6 months of a season to hide from the taxman over £15m wouldnt be worse than fixing a match.

    [/I]

I was under the impression that this was the same punishment that Gary Allan QC was referring to when he wrote that "Only match fixing in its various forms might be a more serious breach.

They brought the game into serious disrepute."

What was this in reference to?

Wait a minute certain things you have posted there are not included in those charges and yes they don't equate to match fixing no one has said the club should not be punished but we don't believe that the punishment handed out was fair or just

Anyway I know how this is going to go so I will bow out now

That was a term used by the appeal panel when making the previous judgement, not necessarily one I'd agree with but they used it at the time to describe how serious they felt the allegations against Rangers were.

The transfer embargo is stemming from bringing the game into disrepute, specifically failure to pay over £15m in taxes.

Rangers director Dave King is urging creditors to reject Charles Green's company voluntary arrangement when they meet on 14 June.

I am opposing the CVA and urge all loyal fans to do the same," said the exiled Scot.

"We don't want to be back in a similar situation next season."

And King, Rangers' second largest shareholder, added: "I also believe that all true Rangers fans should not buy any season tickets until full and frank disclosure has been provided by Duff & Phelps, Mr Green, and [owner] Mr [Craig] Whyte, as to what is truly going on behind the scenes

King wants Rangers fans to boycott season tickets until there is full disclosure. The same guy is suing Rangers for £20m!

The guy can go and take a flying **** to himself another crook who had the chance to come out and spill the beans about Murray but kept his mouth shut

So are the bears in here on King or Green's side?

Skint Gers have offered their creditors, including HMRC, a deal that could see them claw back just nine pence in the pound.

But tax chiefs have already nominated Malcolm Cohen and James Stephen, of accountancy giants BDO, to wind up the club if they decide they can recover more cash by selling off Ibrox itself.

The chilling move came as it emerged Rangers’ bill for non-payment of tax since the club went into administration has DOUBLED to £18million in less than four months.

In total, they now owe HMRC £21million — a figure that could rocket to around £100million if they lose the ‘big tax case’ currently going through the courts.

Has Green revealed who is stumping up the money to buy Rangers yet?

Dundee Utd chairman Stephen Thompson says today that he doesn't believe a Rangers NewCo would get the votes to rejoin the league as things stand and I am not too surprised.

The threats for various away day boycotts by Rangers fans next season certain wouldn't have helped their club in this regard, a laughably short sighted threat actually. The fans may have thrown away the one trump card the club has just so they could get a petty dig in which they may not even have the opportunity to follow up on.

Clubs will look to next season and plan for either 2 games with an empty away end against Rangers or 2 games with a small but guaranteed away end against Dundee and an improved chance of European qualification at the end of the season.

The smart move would have been for the fans to organise big numbers of supporters to fill the away stadiums, set up funds to charter coaches well in advance to prove commitment and to show the league what they will missing. When you are in a weak position it is a silly move to be bullish and defiant when your opponent holds all the cards.

Just to repeat Charles Green, in the event of the CVA being rejected then "...the history, the traditions, everything that is great about this club will be swept aside."

    - Banned from Europe for 3 years.

    - A new 'Corporate Entity' will be formed to run what would effectively be a new Rangers Football Club, under what exact name I don't know.

    - This can only happen though if the other SPL clubs agree to it. Which they may or may not. I'd expect they will, as the SPL needs Celtic and Rangers, it would attract very little TV money without them.

    - The club made a cheeky offer of 1p in the pound to their creditors, which was swiftly shot down.

Was 8p or 9p, no? Still measly, but certainly not 1p in the £1.

It will be a new club, Rangers FC will be no more by Friday.

I wouldn't bank on other SPL clubs voting them straight into the SPL.
