New trading name for #Rangers is The Rangers Football Club.

Keith will love the new trading name!

The same Keith that ran up a debt (namely a lost bet) and then disappeared without paying?..... There's a poetic symmetry there somewhere! :D

Wonder with the fan base is there any route into the bottom of the English league? Interesting question.

Suspect though they would need to go through the non leagues first which could make it a decade long project

In terms of tv money it might well be worth it though?
    What do ye all reckon?

English football (no matter what league) won't allow it, and I'm not a fan of doing that anyway.

At least one good thing will come out of this, maybe you'll shut the **** up with your ****e every single discussion about things that happened in the past.

The newco will be called 'the rangers football club', Keith will be in heaven :P

I only hope supporters of others teams never have to go through this with their club, the real supporters not the 'fair weather only here to laugh at rangers' guys. It's heartbreaking to see the club you've grown up supporting and following everywhere go through this, but the new team will have my full backing, the history of Rangers Football Club will always be remembered by me, doesn't matter how much mocking goes on, it will always be there.

Watch out Spurs, Newcastle and others, you're next.

Things that happened in the past
, but sure isn't that what ye are trying to cling to even though the newcoRangers will be a new entity. Would ye not be better off to take the opportunity to let go of the past - all of it not just the bad debts - and turn over a new leaf?

What a surprise, making claims I clearly said the opposite of in my post.

What does he mean that his bid is in the best interest of the creditors? If it is the liquidation route then who owns the NewCo would be irrelevant wouldn't it? And I assume he doesn't mean a new CVA as HMRC has already said it is their policy not to accept.

I'm not going to pretend to have any clue what's going on cos I don't and neither does anyone else.

You should follow my posts on this topic mate, I know exactly what's going on.

New Rangers chairman Malcolm Murray insists that every effort will be made to keep manager Ally McCoist.

Could you criticise McCoist for walking away from this mess?

I wish I could fast-forward to see how it all plays out.

It's like getting a huge big bag of your favourite sweets. Yay!
But you can only eat one a day. Boo!

I like to think of it as the gift which keeps on giving.

What is that about the NewCo being held responsible for what Rangers did while they existed? That makes no sense. What is the betting that this is just a tactic which will let the NewCo claim the history as long as they accept some form of punishment for the dual contracts?

Well good riddance to bad rubbish, now strip the now dead club of there tainted titles

I rather see Rangers punished for dual contracts in the form of 3-0 losses for any match that included an illegal player.

They would be free to do that without bringing the NewCo into it, as the NewCo has no claim to the good part of the history of Rangers then it should also have no responsibility to answer for the bad part of the history.

Thats what I meant Pompey, the dual contracts & the tax liability has nothing to do with the newco.

What you on about? If your talking of proof of there cheating there was plenty produced by the BBC the other week on the EBT contracts they where using, which no one has denied, they are cheats and should be treated as such, i dont care if the new incarnation "the rangers " get made to start from div 3 or not, but the extinct rangers should have there last 12 years of honours stripped in the name of fair play and justice.

so do all the rangers fans here now support the new club?

So will all the Celtic fans stop using the word 'Hun' ?

After all, 'it's only used as a name for Rangers fans'

It's not a new club, no matter how many times you lot keep saying it is.
