Both seem to be things taken for granted that everyone can do but I cannot and never could.
Heres the kicker though.
Im a musician and singer (of little note) and time and again wander into songs with whistling verses (Me and Julio:cool:) where I either resort to the dread kazzoo or have to appoint a whistler prior to performance.
Im also outdoorsey and into camping and have to wimp out and lug a chair with me.
Life is so very very very unfair:(
Is anyone similarly differently abled like me. Tell me your woes and how it makes your life a misery...

I can't bend my little finger (on either hand) without bending my ring finger. If I hold the ring finger steady I'm physically incapable of bending my little finger.

My theory is that my nerves in my hands are screwed up so all commands to the little finger go to the ring finger too (but not vice-versa, oddly).

I only realised it when I was learning to play guitar, the guy teaching me thought it was very odd. Hasn't been a hindrance though, I can still play! If I keep my ring finger bent, I can move the little finger all I like.

The one time it really was awkward was when I was out for a walk along a river one evening last summer, and came across this old man who was had slipped. He was hanging on to just the shrubs/long grass, and his head kept going underwater. He couldn't stand up. It was a fúcker just standing there like an eejit shouting for help. So that day I promised myself I would learn to swim.

Haven't bothered me arse yet though.

If I put out both of my hands flat and start wriggling all of my fingers the middle finger on my right hand stays still while the rest go mad.

Ever since my hand accident it does that and looks fairly odd how it just stays static. Other than that it's fine.

I've noticed lately that alot of people can't roll their R's at all.
