tendering through etenders any feedback??

    Just looking to get feedback if anyone has tried using the governments etenders site and been succesful. Primarily trying to find out how likely you are to win a tender if there is already someone supplying goods and services in place and the end of the previous tender is coming to an end. Ive just seen a tender out today for our business but the current supplier is a similar sized business to ourselves

    Found that sometime,those tender's documents are been made by some third party company and the information and/or requirements are way beyond the people's understanding capabilities which are asking for service and/or product !

    I can say that,on another planet,not here on Earth,somebody makes the reqs to fit a special supplier category or to keep current supplier in business . But,i repeat myself, that may happen on another time dimension,or another planet,or another system and so on...

    would have to disagree with you on that one. sometimes tenders do only suit a few specialist companys but that is because realistically there are only a few companys who could carry out that specific tender requirement fully.

    on the other hand i can give you dozens of examples of current suppliers losing out in the tendering process to new ones.

    fact of the matter is though that most companys who lose out on tenders dont bother reading the full document in the first place or slack on detail, tenders are easy to win if you put a bit of effort and preparation work into it, there is no big secret to winning tenders.
