    Hi all,

Moved into a period property 4 weeks ago and I havent unfrozen since. All 11 rads are lukewarm at best and cold down the bottom. Seems from research I might need a powerflush.

Boiler is old but just serviced and up at 70c (from 55c) and no difference.

11 Radiators on the system. Circa 20-25 years old

Any recommendations? Doesnt have to be the cheapest, but its preferable. Decent job needed, the baby wears her dressing down to bed at night

And what works best? The whole drain the system, put in chemicals, leave it for 2 weeks and drain again, or the proper power flush system done in a day?

Does the one day really get all the limescale and that broken down and out?

Have you ruled out simple things you cab do yourself like checki.g the balancing bias between central heating and the hot water cylinder?

In my opinion, power flushing would be best. Also, if your boiler has an online filter on it, don't forget to clean it.

I'm not sure how to do that, but I think the hot water cylinder is only heated by a coil of heating pipe running through it. The hot water cylinder barely gets luke warm after the heat has been on.

Just as an FYI for anyone searching, I had this done on Friday and the difference is unreal.

Sound plumber came out and flushed the system rad by rad and they heat up much quicker than before and are hot top to bottom. The house is transformed.

Great price too. PM me if you want their details.

I dumped in a container of system cleaner into it a week beforehand and this apparently helps a huge amount.
