    MOD NOTE in post 914 - http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showpost.php?p=76924458&postcount=914

    VzFW4.jpg

    Team news:

    Chelsea

Subs from; Hilário, Turnbull, Ferreira, Malouda, Essien, Bertrand, Hutchinson, Lukaku

    Doubtful; Lampard (calf)

Injured; Terry (knee, 11 Feb), Ramires (knee, 25 Feb), Mikel (hamstring, unknown)

Unavailable; Kalou, Drogba (international duty), Cole (suspended)

    Manchester United

Subs from Amos; Park, Berbatov, Giggs, Hernández, Diouf, F da Silva, R da Silva, Young, Cleverley

Injured; Jones (ankle, 11 Feb), Anderson (knock, 11 Feb), Lindegaard (ankle, Mar), Fletcher (virus, unknown), Vidic (knee, Jun)

    Possible line ups:

    Chelsea-v-Manchester-Unit-0011.jpg

I'd expect both those starting 11's on Sunday apart from Scholes - Giggs will play. Essien possibly instead of Romeu/Lampard and maybe Rafael at right back.

2-2 @ 75 mins, Pogba to come on and boss the midfield and score the winner from 25 yards out.

    Like a boss.

No seriously, how likely is it that the game gets called off?

Not sure , depends on the conditions around the stadium really,

But as I posted in both the Chelsea and Utd forum earlier , There is weather warning out from the UK met office for both Sat and Sun,

Sat being the heavier day for snow and Sunday toping it up.

    191247.png191248.png

    Issued at - 03 Feb 2012, 12:07
    Valid from - 04 Feb 2012, 12:00
    Valid to - 04 Feb 2012, 23:59

A band of wet weather over Northern Ireland and western Scotland early Saturday will move slowly east and southeastwards across the United Kingdom during the day. As it does so it will readily turn to sleet and snow away from western and southwestern coastal areas giving accumulations of 2-5cm in places and 5-10cm widely in the amber warning area. The snow is expected to turn to rain over some northwestern areas later. As skies then clear in this area after dark, icy patches will develop. The public are advised that this is likely to lead to some travel disruption, and it is recommended to keep up to date with forecasts as the event approaches.

    Valid to - 05 Feb 2012, 12:00

A band of snow over eastern parts of England, with accumulations of 5-10cm widely, will slowly clear eastwards, turning generally lighter and to rain as it does so. Behind this, clearing skies may lead to widespread icy patches forming. The public are advised that this is likely to lead to some travel disruption and to keep up to date with forecasts as the event approaches.

1 -1 draw Chelsea always seem to score at least one but never more than one and United always find this a tough fixture.

Bah, didn't realise there was snow forecast for this weekend.

It's fecking freezing in London at the moment though.

Brrrrrrrr. And Chelsea wouldn't be too slow postponing the game too. Sure didn't they do it before.

I really don't know what way this match is going to go, I suppose there's more pressure on Utd to get a result, wishful thinking I'd say 2-0 Chelsea realistically though I think 2-2

    3-2 to Chelsea
A big game from Torres and at least one bit of comical defending from Evans or De Gea or someone please.

Evans is playing at the same ability that kept Rio out of the team a few years back,he isn't liked but is quite a decent cb.

Chelsea on a poor run of form at the moment while Manchester United need to win to be level with Man City.
Cleverly and Young may appear for united today after long absences.

On phone so will leave fancy artwork to someone else.

    Team News
John Terry will miss Chelsea's game against Manchester United on Sunday because of a knee injury(yeah right)
Gary Cahill is likely to make his debut for the club in a reshuffled defence also missing the suspended Ashley Cole, and Frank Lampard (calf) could return.
David de Gea is set to return in goal for Manchester United as Anders Lindegaard (ankle) faces six weeks out.
Tom Cleverley is available for the first time since October, while Ashley Young, Wayne Rooney and Nani are fit.

United don't much like Stamford Bridge. Their last win in the Premier League on Chelsea soil came 10 years ago

Injury means that Terry will not play in Sunday's heavyweight clash, thereby preventing a first face-to-face meeting with Ferdinand since the accusations against Chelsea's captain of racially abusing Anton Ferdinand were made.
So on to the real point of the afternoon - the game itself. Chelsea against Manchester United may look less like a title decider this year, but Chelsea are actually a point better off than at this stage last season and will want their say in the destination of the Premier League.
Having played Manchester City, Arsenal and Liverpool in quick succession, and with Liverpool coming up again, United are at a crucial stage of their season. They have hauled themselves level with Manchester City and will be desperate not to allow the pressure on their wobbly neighbours to ease.
United don't much like Stamford Bridge, though. Their last win in the Premier League on Chelsea soil came 10 years ago. That's so ancient that Barthez, Beckham, and Laurent Blanc were still around. Much more recent was the Champions League win at the Bridge in last season's quarter-final which confirmed United's edge on Chelsea and Carlo Ancelotti's imminent demise.

    MATCH FACTS

    Head-to-head
Chelsea are unbeaten in their last nine home league games against Manchester United since a 3-0 defeat nearly a decade ago (W6, D3).
United have only scored three goals in their last eight Premier League visits to Stamford Bridge.
However, they did win their most recent game at Chelsea - Wayne Rooney scoring the only goal in the Champions League quarter-final first leg last April.

For everyone checking this thread out via their phone, from underneath the duvet, with a hangover, I salute you.

I too am posting from underneath the magical softness of an extra large duvet.

We will eventually brave the comparably bitter cold of the hallways of our homes to get that much needed glass of water, perhaps stumble to the bathroom and maybe, just maybe, have a shower.

From there a large fry up will be the only way forward, being fully dressed will be optional, while wearing your Man Utd jersey will be compulsory, even if that is all you wear. The strength from the fry up and multiple cups of tae will allow me the strength to shout at the TV to encourage those players I love, and Michael Carrick, to cut Chelsea to shreds.

For now I bid you farewell, as I will brave the icy floorboards of my house in search of that pint of water I am somehow never smart enough to bring to bed with me. You too will manage this feat soon, as impossible as it may seem. I will leave you with my prediction of 3-0 to United, with le Pog coming on for 20 mins and scoring a thirty yard screamer.

    Good luck gentlemen.

I hope you all have rashers in your fridge.

Torres to somehow put one past his compatriot, Utds record at the Bridge is oddly woeful but this is a good opportunity to break the voodoo 2-1.
