A freind of mine is diabetic and she has trouble finding a drink to suit her in pubs. She can't drink spirits (they make her go quare) and she doesn't like beer. She'd usually drink wine at home but refuses to pay the ridiculous price they charge for the manky vinegar they serve down the local  Is there anything readily available in pubs that would suit her?

When you eliminate wine, beer and spirits, you are left with mineral water.

Spirits? All spirits? because whiskey or rum is fine for me but gin or vodka makes me feel bad. As for beer I didn't like the taste at first either so its that or pay for the wine.
