    Hi All,

Anyone know trainers who specialise in this area? Been involved with a couple of 'Personal Trainers' in the past but unfortunately I have found these type of trainers don't seem to fully understand weight or more importantly muscle gain training.

I had approached Dawid Geler but unfortunately he is unavaialble until May as he is currently enaged in strict prep for an upcoming competition. At this point I should probably say I ahve no interest in participating in a physique competition but I feel this type of training will get me to my goal.

I am currently 75kg and would say in the region of 14% BF. From that my lean bodymass is 64.5kg. My goal is 77kg with 8% BF by June 1st 2012. So with a goal lean body mass of 70.85kg, I am just under 6.5kg of lean body mass away from my goal.

From tomorrow I have 17 weeks to my goal whcih leaves me with a weekly goal of attaining an increase of 0.4kg of lean body mass per week. I believe with the right training and diet advise this is definitely achievable.

I have been training (averaging 4 times per week) quite seriously since August and have made good gains but now I want to make that next step in my training. I plan to continue to train myself 4 - 5 times per week but would like to train with someone who knows their stuff every two weeks to develop new programs, take measuremnts etc.

Anyone got any advice of who I could approach?

Are you galway based since you asked Geler? There are some online options and plenty of Dublin options so bit more detail if possible

Nah man I'm based in Dublin but I have searched online (maybe all the worng places!) but have yet to find anyone based on the criteria above.

The reason I contacted Geler was simply because of his background as a trainer and the fact that he had won RIBBF Mr Ireland demonstrated that he is at the top of his game in terms of physique / bodybuilding training.

Ideally I'd prefer meeting a 'real' individual to talk through things on a regular basis and change things as necessary but if I have to go online to find the right person then so be it.

I am conscious that if I'm doing this and am willing to commit to this 100% then a want a trianer of the same mindset.

Sorry man maybe I posted mad stats? Nah I've decreased my BF % over the last couple of years but other than that weights hasn't changed by too much.

Where did the 40kg - 50kg loss come from?

Cheers d-gal - I'm South Dublin so that would be ideal. Also City Centre would be fine. In my head I see it as a meeting every 2 weeks so happy to travel elsewhere in Dublin if required.

Enda is in image gym in Swords, very well respected in bodybuilding circles. I'm not sure where Tommy Staunton is but always hear great reviews. Even if you contact one of them and you can't get to them I'm sure they can recommend someone. Ian Graham might be another option but I think he is north Dublin

I'm hearing great things about Tommy. Does anyone know how to make contact with him? I see COH has details so I Pm'd him too but just thought a couple of people may know how best to contact him. Thanks lads for all the help with this one.

Lads based on that goal above am I right that a Bodybuilding Programme is the best way to achieve same? I am concerned that maybe I think I need someone with a bodybuilding background when in fact all I need is a good Personal Trainer who knows his stuff and can recommend a good muscle building programme with the appropriate nutritional advice.

Having said that if I do go the bodybuilding approach surely that will still get me to my goal.................ah the confusion!

http://www.darraghhayes.com/about/ His website is called ''Cover Model Body Training''. Based on his physique, he knows what he's doing. He was the PT featured on the RTE documentary a while back.

    Hi lads
Im looking yo get a trainer to bulk up in 5:11" and weigh around 10stone. iv had a trainer before but was more so focused on fitness . i don't really want to join a public gym because on self confidence issues in the weights area.would rather train 1 on 1 until i feel comfortable enough with my size to go to a gym alone . anyway can anyone recommend anyone or have experience in my situation as a lot of people on here seem to use trainers for weight loss . cheers .

    That's like a mortgage payment.

44-58/session by those numbers. Which is inline with standard!
